Glad the team dealt with this on their terms by handling it internally instead of how the media clearly wanted it handled. Shows maturity and a level of professionalism that is needed as the World Cup draws ever closer.
I still find it interesting that Kone didnt just kill this story before it even became something. Kj said he asked for him post match and he turned him down. If he had taken accountability right away post match. It wouldnt have dragged on. Kone is such a conundrum. All the god given talent but, often shows a lack of maturity that belias his age. He won't get a shot at a big club like Marsielle ever again.
Wow thanks KJ for this! Such a relief! Marsch has shown great tolerance and support for Kone, almost like a father figure always putting his arms around the kid no matter what. Kone really should not take that for granted — just think how De Zerbi would react to this. And having Kone do the pre-game presser is a great move too.
If Kone shows maturity going forward by never reacting on the pitch again like that in a similar situation the sky is the limit for him I believe. He just turned 23 back in June so he still can eventually get back to a soccer club powerhouse again if he just lets his soccer play do the talking. When in form he is a pure joy to watch. Running grace on the pitch the way he seems to just glide across the field like a bird on a wind. Precision passing and don't forget he has a terrific shot from distance which we have not seen at international level yet but some of his long distance goals for club are jaw dropping in accuracy. Glad the team handled it internally with smiles all around. The team will be stronger for it in the long run. Marsch to me seems the perfect manager for him. They will both become better at their jobs if it goes well. Kone and Saliba on the pitch together against Wales could be really something special. Cheers !

Jesse Marsch is a classy dude who handled perfectly.
Croeso y Cymru!
It seems better than the way the USMNT has dealt with stuff in recent years. I hope Ismaël sorts things out. He has incredible potential.
