Oh god, that hair lol
Landon can do what he wants. You come off as a miserable, bitter person.
Never been a Roldan fan but he's performed so 🤷 could have just been Gregg not knowing how to use him properly
I think his hair looks cool
Pro/ rel wynalda most mls players are better than what you face in your time
So I guess mls players dont want to win mls cup cant wait to end the season lol
You know argentina has 30 teams in their league and heavy favorites to win next year world
England has pro/rel how many wc?
Germany pro/rel
What happen last two wc? Group exit lol.
LD hair jokes had me from start. 😂 well played!
Donovan says a lot of kooky stuff, as bad as his hair. Disingenuous so called pundit
Roldan does what the coach asks. Whether it’s Seattle, Berhalter or Pochettino he plays the game plan.
He’s had one decent game and one good game.
Is Eric's "Academy" pay-to-play???
🤡
Roldan is EXACTLY the type of player the USA needs. He’s not playing for himself , he will do all the small things , the sacrifices, , the speeches and he’s old enough to tell people to shut up, and they will listen + he’s a DAWG . Anyone who actually knows, knows that national teams have their own special recipe and Wyndalda is right here , Roldan is a USMNT player.
ad hominem attacks? This dude is so jealous of Donovan you can smell it thru the screen.
The jealousy on Donovan is pathetic. It’s more embarrassing to be assaulting or getting into fights at children games than getting a hair transplant or fake hair. Saying you would tell people suck and saying Roldan deserves to be in the national team is stupid.
Can we get past crapping on Landon? He is a beloved former member of the USMNT to many fans and teammates. Do we agree with everything said and done throughout his career? No. Nor can it be said of anyone else. All of us have faults. We all missed the mark and could have done better.
"But Landon screwed the USMNT by missing a WC." Charlie Davies made a bonehead move that got someone killed, and severely shortened what would have been an epic career, costing the USMNT. But we love Charlie. He is still a great ambassador for the sport and team. He represented us as an AMERICAN.
Let's grow up.
Christian Roldan is such an underrated player.
ONE good performance for USA after 41 caps and he’s earned it?😂
Patrick Agyemang for the WC team– he has my support.
Damn the Cory Gibbs shout out
totally agree about Roldan. i was pissed when i saw people still talking shit about him after the game – like how stupid are y'all?
My fear with Cristian Roldan is that he’ll be the Jesus Ferretai of this roster, meaning that he’ll look totally out of his depth against World Cup competition
Pochettino understands that to win an international soccer tournament, you need players from the bench to step in and win games. Cristian Roldan and Diego Luna are the kinds of players who can make a difference coming off the bench, change the momentum, and bring energy to win games.
Christian Pulisic is better than Landon Donovan; it's a fact.
FFS sake, Eric. Not you too…
God I wish people would stop taking cheap shots at Landon Donovan. Yes, Pulisic will probably eventually excel him, but as it stands, Donovan is still the best USMNT player ever. This tired narrative that he is a wimp who always takes the easy way out is reminiscent of the same bullsh*t that Klinsmann preached back when he pig-headedly cut Donovan from the roster just before the 2014 World Cup. It's gotten quite old.
Roldan definitely makes the World Cup roster because he’s a winner. Not only is his game not a liability, but he commands the respect of everyone in that locker room. He has the respect to tell a Pulisic that his play is not good enough, and Pulisic would take criticism
Roldan look better good aginst PSG and rather comfortable against Athlectico Madrid .
I disagree. I think Landon looks great. Seriously. Remember, he suffered from pre-mature baldness from his youth. So, for him, it was a constant problem and emotionally he's connected to it. I haven't gone bald, YET. But I know I will. But I never worried about it and neither did you…obviously. Let Donovan enjoy his new look. Now….about soccer? It takes all kinds to make a team. I'm not 100% convinced about Roldan and didn't lose sleep that his brother didn't play for us. The team is evolving. My biggest joy is Diego Luna. I think he has a long way to go to get where I think he can be. And, hopefully, he wants to get better. I think he can make a huge impact
I hear all this negativity, especially from the 11 Yanks duo Pete and Filippo, about Roldan and it is clear that the head coaches Berhalter and Pochetinno saw something in Roldan that Pete and Filippo did not. Yet mentioning that in the chats was like shouting profanities in a church service according to other posters. Roldan's two assists against Australia, his goal in the Club World Cup and his work in the Sounders Leagues Cup did not seem to sway most analysts. Thank you for this video Eric.
Hey Waldo. I rather see Roldan than Sebastian or Gio at this time. Roldan had a great game v Miami. Saludos
I remember going to an ID camp at Notre Dame in 2012, and Christian Roldan blew everyone’s doors off, including current Notre Dame players. Turns out, dude never got an offer from them despite winning National Gatorade Player of the Year that season 😂 I’ll never forget him because he was easily the best player I’ve ever played against, and he was such a humble dude.
The other bald guy 😂…
If the roster spot is between Roldan and other MLS players then okay he is in, but if its someone competing week in and week out in a much higher level league then no.
Eric if you had to choose between tessman and roldan for the last spot , who gos? Obviously I think both go bc we’re actually short on quality double 6s especially if we’re going with a 3421. But I’m curious to see hear your take on what each brings and if the fact that tessman is a key player for a club like Lyon gives him the edge.
Nobody in Italy would dream of discussing coach Conte's "new hair". It would be considered uncouth. Likewise, Rooney in England, and at least 2 current Premiership players with new hair , that's their choice and nobody else's. Its not up for discussion. So why pick on Donovan? What about players who braid their hair using hair extensions? Does the host want to mock them too? And why even compare footballers who played in different eras , with current ballers, and declaring which one is "better",when even some of the rules in the game have changed over time is just foolishness. Time to get over the individuals and remember that the game is a team sport.
I would argue Landon took the hard route. MLS would not be where it is today without Landon. One of the few true American stars during the 2000's in MLS.
I dont listen to Tactical Manager. He is a bit of a joke.
Very mean what you said about Landon. Its his choice if he wants hair. Not everyone can deal with hair loss. Taking medicine to help with my arthritic pain, I have been losing hair and I think it's harder on a lady like me.
No one hates Roldan. He’s just a run of the mill MLS player who’s bad in tight spaces, 1v1, and in combo play. Like Luna and every other lifer, he can’t handle real pressure. Two assists vs the Australian league all-star team (essentially) doesn’t mean anything to me. Aussie League sucks.
Bro, you're always angry lol, that's part of your charm though
One name 2014 Kyle Fucking Beckerman. I'm def no MLS apologist, but an 8 or 6 at the World Cup can most certainly be an MLS player. Last World Cup the Dutch of all teams went counter & direct in a 3-5-2 & lost in the 1/4's to 🇦🇷 & Messi in penalties.
World Cup is quickly becoming about speed and athletic ability. Too many club games w/ too many injuries leaves World Cup squads as patchworked as ever.
"Its not like we're a bunch of bitter old guys" LOL!
"I'm a pioneer. Don't let my blood, sweat and tears go to waste" LOL!
"Landon has a problem with Pulisic as he knows he's better" LOL!
Eric, you are the most delusional, bitter, self-centered individual around today my old chum. You hate Donovan because he was miles better than you. So what if he played MLS. You played 2nd division in Germany for a season, and apart from an excellent freekick vs the Swiss, did next to zero in those 3 world cups you so often enjoy brining up.
You need to change you show title to Eric WINEalda – Unhinged!
Speaking of MLS, what the H___ is with their 'new' playoff mess? Best of 3? … MLS is going to prove (I believe Churchhill's quote) someday… they will try EVERYTHING else first and then in about 50-100yrs from now they will finally get around to playing football like there rest of the globe does….
