I agree with almost everything Tac and Pete observe about the USMNT, except for one. Roldan is a roster lock. Even if he never plays a second. I have watched sports long enough to see how important veteran leaders are.
Also, are we forgetting Gio Reyna is only like 22 years old after six years whoa last World Cup. He was 18. The kids still got a long career ahead of him.
I could see Sean Zawadski playing center back. That’s primarily what he plays in Columbus.

I know Sargent is not scoring goals but I think he has a place on the World Cup team as a late sub when we have a lead to defend hold the ball up and being good in the air on set pieces. I think we should bring haji as well and list him as a wing take out one of the FB because Weah can play there.

In a back 4, we are cooked without Jedi. In a back 3, Jedi is less critical. As you described, we can play Dest and Weah. The defense is a little weaker, but the offense is probably stronger.

Pete, been a big fan for a while and I started to realize that to build a winning team, "talent" or "quality" is important, but team chemistry is perhaps even more. It's hard to strike a balance; we outsider can only judge from their game performance, like the fighting spirit and fluidity of the play.

Even if Banks doesn't develop enough to be ready to contribute in the WC, you still have to bring him when you have a 26 man roster. The experince of just being there, even as an unused player, is invaluable for the remainder of his USMNT career. I'd argue the same thing for Kochen to be the 3rd GK on the roster.
But, on top of that, I totally agree with Pete that Banks is already better than many of these alternatives being given opportunities.
As a knee surgery patient(x3) survivor, I think Jedi will be out for the World Cup. I think it’s like those weird cases were the procedure wasn’t well performed and know will need multiple procedures. I don’t know if it’s like what happened to Stu Holden or Paxton Pomykal. There’s a big name player there also I just can’t recall who, but after that first procedure, they never were able to recover.

Robinson still being called up is an issue, he doesn’t have good experience, he doesn’t play at a good level, and he’s not a high level player at his level. Banks is 10 years younger than Robinson and probably just as good.

For future videos, for the defenders especially, when you're listing players ages/caps, you should consider including their height. It gives better perspective on analyzing if they are going to be able to handle top world cup teams physically. lot of physical tackling,etc. going on. guys like Dest have injuries and it's going to matter in June. We just can't pinpoint which starting players will have to be subbed off. it will happen to at least one starter.
