Much better start than I expected for the Sixers. Poor shooting nights for Maxey and VJ, but they and Grimes all stepped up in crunch time. Drummond made some crucial plays. The jury's still out on Embiid right now, but 20 points in 20 minutes is nothing to sneeze at. We'll see how PG works into things whenever he returns. Their defense needs to tighten up, though.
The Hornets looked pretty good, but the fact that Miller is already hurt is just another bad omen. I think Charles Lee needs to cut down LaMelo's 3pt attempts. Sexton was great. Knueppel and Kalkbrenner both played a solid game. I'm rooting for them to finally be a good team this year, but their defense and their health makes me doubtful.
