I feel like 4231 couldve only worked with vlahovic, because yeah its nice to look at the perfect starting 11, but we dont have the subs and turnover to play like this now, maybe sometimes in the last 30 minutes of a game, yes, but as the main tactic, no. I've watched David for a very long time. It's not confidence he lacks (they don't call him Ice Man for nothing), it's playing time. It's a horrible thing for Vlahovic, but this kind of pressure is exactly what David seems to thrive on.
