  1. Why didn't he go to Wolfsburg during the summer? Anything to do with his wife saying no? Daughter is now 4 so coming up to school age, wife could be settled here and doesn't want to go anywhere.

  2. He does not go unless a silly sized bid comes in, probably £25m+ being the Jan window. 1 because we are still in a relegation battle and 2 Kvistgaarden isn’t reliable enough with his fitness to then step in, and it would be a lot of pressure on Big Mac too. Think hell flourish again under pc and will finish the season strong!

  3. Great job guys, always a pleasure to watch. Controversial one for your next discussion. Has Knapper actually signed good players that were just poorly managed under Manning? Obviously we lack depth with injuries and there is an underlying issue there, but how different is your best XI compared to your current fit XI shown in this video?

  4. Well, Josh could go to West Ham and be playing us next year. Josh can shine for us under PC and ge part of a good thing going forward. I hope PC can convince him of that.

  5. He won't go anywhere in Jan, maybe in the summer but obviously won't be west ham, more likely Germany or somewhere. I personally don't think he's right for the prem. That said if he doesn't score many more this season we might not even get a big enough offer.

  6. If we sell him, I'm pretty sure we can afford 2 decent players or even just one decent forward. We need to just get on with it as sad as it is when these players go it's just part of it and we need to keep moving forward

  7. I can only see it happening if a) Sarge is desperate for a move or b) someone comes in with an offer we can’t refuse. So I’d guess at unlikely but not impossible.

  8. No, because West Ham will likely be a Championship side next season. And never for 15M, he should be 20M+. Have we already given up our Premiership ambitions?

  9. Sargent will not drop in value even if he has a mediocre second half so 15m is ridiculous. If he has a good second half he could easily add 10m to that so a club who has historically looked to add value for players makes easy money there.
He won’t get international recognition with questionable game time at a failing Premier League side but may with a good second half where he knows he will play.

  10. Trying to look at it as devils advocate without my Ncfc bias, I still think from Sargents pov he’s better off staying at Norwich based off teams linked.

I say this not because I think we are bigger than West Ham etc but because how Ncfc are playing under clement he has a much better chance of scoring the level of goals needed for him to force his way back into the USA World Cup squad. Which has to be his priority surely? He won’t get another chance in his career to play for his nation in a World Cup in his home nation. Plain and simple. Moving to a club where he won’t score many goals won’t achieve that. In the summer after the World Cup, different story and he could potentially attract even more suitors if he performs in a home World Cup.

I do think he will look back at the summer and wish he threw his toys outta the pram a bit as manning bore/ball ruined his World Cup hopes. Now he has a chance to perform at championship level how we know he can and force his way back in through sheer goals scored. He won’t do that moving to a relegation threatened prem side who is the only type of team who would come in for him in this window. It’s after the World Cup he gets his move surely.

  11. According to West Ham reports, initial conversations have taken place. I will mention that there is rumour that West Ham might be looking to sell -21 striker George Earthy. Hammers fans believe he should be in the squad. Some sort of deal Sargent / Earthy

  12. I think Josh was convinced to stay in the summer due to the changes that took place.
But he could go in the winter window when we’re out of the playoffs. That was my belief in the summer when he stayed. The USA team would be his aim the next 4/5 months. West Ham would lift his profile in the prem. If he plays. Thanks Jack.

  13. Everyone still buying the line that it was Josh who halted the Wolfsburg move then? City reducing their valuation makes sense if there was something physiological which came up and caused VFB to withdraw from the deal.

  14. Thanks for covering this Jack. The bit that i was concerned about for the article I shared to you was it said they were in talks that was the bit that got me.🤔

  15. It was Sargents wife who scuppered the Wolfsburg move as didn't want to relocate unless it was to the States. West Ham isn't too far away geographically 😳

  16. I can't imagine him leaving this season or next.
I honestly think he'll stay now as we have a genuine promotion push next season with PC. If we don't get promoted next season he'll be off…

  17. I will never understand the fans obsession with Sargent
We need quality upfront and Sargent isn't
Get rid of him for 15+
    Kvistgaarden is the future

  18. You said it makes sense for him to move on in the summer.

But Def not in the January window?

    We're not getting promoted lol
So may as well get more money in the inflated January window, surely?

If west ham are desperate, let's milk them and move on

  19. As a hammer, I think we need a striker and goals more than you need to keep him. If we spend 25-30 mil with addons, then frankly it doesn't matter if you get relegated. You'd bounce back stronger with that sort of money.

You also may lack appreciation about how bad West Ham's striker recruitment has been. If he is a natural finisher and has a good workrate, then he could be the best striker since we signed Dean Ashton. We sign so few and those that we do sign don't fit the system or style. We've wasted 100s of millions. We have mostly been living off converted wingers for several seasons, so 30 million would be nothing for us. It would be a punt. We are low-balling you at 15million, since we are shit negotiators.

  20. Jack: WILL YOU STOP 'ASSUMING'! Yes, we all know about Josh… some of us more than you! Stop stating the blindingly obvious! You and Chris ASSUMED he was gone in the summer… just leave the nonsense out!
