We need a leader, but we need a reasonably young and fit leader. Dire has missed a lot of games this season. Is he genuinely that much better than Magassa and Potts, who are both 22. They are not exactly young kids. They need game time to prove there trusted. If Dire is the best we can do, we are doomed. We desperately need an out and out centre back. ⚒️
Interestingly he made his Premier League debut against us. He’s 31 so he’s on the old side but he’s solid and has fighting spirit, not sure what his injury record is though? Loan with an option would be ideal imo.
