I’m weirdly satisfied with the deals that we didn’t do, I know this sounds crazy but I’m not a big fan of spending big in January unless there is a urgent need
I am happy with LH staying, as you pointed out he’s solid defensively, so it’s not that he’s actually hurting us. Nobody that has popped up is a clear upgrade and I don’t want us to overspend in January and not do deals as a result in the summer.
As for perisic i would have loved a last dance kind of sending off with a Scudetto but a 1,5year deal for a 36/37 yo perisic isn’t the solution we need
As for Diaby I was happy but only if he came on a dry loan or with option. I don’t see his marginal utility high enough to drop 35m when we need multiple CBs, a GK, a RWB and potentially 1 midfielder plus Stankovic in the summer.
If we can send Frattesi to forest in the Prem, where I think he belongs with his skill set and he gets to showcase himself and we can cash in for 30-35m in the summer while getting a versatile, physical midfielder of great caliber in Curtis jones on a loan id give the window a 7-8 out of 10
