  1. As I said, hissy fit tantrems should not be tolerated. He wants MLS only? Get rid at any price exceeding what we originally paid for him and get his wages off our bill. Then finally learn the lesson so that no other players we have can seek to hold us to "ransom" as Rowe , Nunez Sargent and others have done in recent times….

  2. Deluded Toronto fans in the comments that seem to be under the impression the MLS is a big league 🤣🤣 the don’t even know the game is called football they think that’s a game where you use your hands and wear more protection than the army.

  3. Toronto can have him for free in my opinion. Waste of time and resources being at our club; give it to someone who has genuine aspirations of playing at the top level with a top manager, who will not only teach you footballing lessons, but also life lessons.
Toronto fans will very soon learn they have bought an over hyped Championship standard player at best.

  4. It's a real shame how this has happened. I have slight sympathy for him as he's at least doing it for his family, and he's quite clearly been given some absolutely horrendous advice by someone (assuming his agent who just wants a cut of the sale fee) but how stupid can you get? We would've been able to leave as easy as anything in the summer, with all Norwich fans blessings, and he'd have done his WC Squad chances a lot of good

  5. I’d like to know if Sargent has explicitly refused to play for Norwich in the Championship, or is it that he refused to play in that one FA cup game and he would have played for Norwich in Championship while waiting for the transfer decision, but Clement doesn’t want him near the team?

In any case, there’s so much dumb lose-lose dynamics here that it is hard to explain the situation without assuming there was bad blood between Clement and Sargent before the FA cup game. (Or there’s truly some proper clown instructing Sargent. That txt message is so weird…)

Knapper has seemingly been incapable of finding a tolerable diplomatic solution in the same way as Webber did with Farke and Buendia. I have a feeling Attanasio might have to intervene once again, and if so, I don’t see how Knapper’s days aren’t numbered

  6. Sarge / his agent have completely blown everything up. This is literally the worst possible scenario for everyone involved. Mind boggling that nobody in his camp told him not to do this

  7. He wanted to leave because he wanted to get into the USA squad for the World Cup !
That’s not our problem – he is under contract and we pay his wages – end of story !

  8. A few week back PC said in an interview he'd prefer JS to stay, so that puts to bed the issue PC doesnt want him in team, so JS obviously doesnt want to play, how he can repay the fans love and loyalty by turning his back in an hour of really serious need is beyond me, the reallity is at the moment he's a financial asset to the club, the owners are very wealthy people, perhaps they feel JS is not going to dictate matters, very bad for moral and whose to say other players wouldnt follow JS's attitude in attempting to facilitate a move. the lad should get his arse in gear, train score a shed load of goals, get a usa call up, his value would rise and sell in the summer..

  9. WE can't believe you are still talking about Josh Sargent either… WHY? You continue to feed us old, tired news purely for 'content's sake'… STOP IT! Toronto cannot afford the 'asking price', it ain't rocket science is it? Keep on giving us your condescending views, obvious comments – do you really think we are all completely naive? Think about what you decide to post next, would be my advice, as what you have to say sometimes is worthless and meaningless drivel… still, it must be earning you some cash, which seems to be your only motivation sometimes? 😩😩😩😩😩

  10. Also, how can the 21 February be 'in three weeks time'? Simple, basic everyday calculations are not your best subject Jack, and you're talking about transfer fees? Doesn't add up to me!

  11. Is there no other U.S club that might also jump on this move? Seems odd that ONLY Toronto would be interested. Come on Becks, get your hand in your pocket 😜

  12. Players do this all the time, including to far bigger clubs than ours. He has to go and I never want to see him in yellow again. The club must do all they can to move this expensive perm on. He stayed in the summer because the contract reflected his injury woes, not out of loyalty. PS. Sargent has been terrible since his purple patch and Makama proved the, "lack of service," line to be BS.

  13. After causing such a capuffle for Norwich, Toronto and Josh's agentd.have now totally lost interest at the price we demand.
So the best thing for Josh and the club is to put aside.yjeur differences, get.Josh back in good shape on the pitch and scoring goals.
    Why ?
    – because JS value is dropping like a stone right now
-.because we need to avoid relegation at all costs
    – because we want to sell JS for a good price in the summer
    – because JS wants to achieve his dream of playing in.the world cup
    – because a good tournament will increase his value even more
    – because we want JS to leave on.a good note

So the 3 of them JS PC and BK,.need to get round the table to hammer this out, it's actually all of their jobs to turn this round for the benefit of the club and the player. I think all three are generally responsible guys, okay there's so many things which are going to make it difficult to achieve, but that's why they are.paid the big bucks
The stand off is now not working for the club or player and it's incumbent on these three to sort things out for the remainder of the season

  14. Could there possibly be a USA v Canada issue here. With current relations between the two countries being what they are, would Toronto fans be happy with the purchase of an American player?

  15. Why isnt there a ruling that is a player wants to move then make him buy out his contract with his own money
This will make any player think twice before excepting bad advice

  16. I applaud the tough stance that the club are taking. But the value of something/someone is what someone else is prepared to pay. Whether that's a car, a guitar or a football player. Suppose you're selling a car which you bought for £5,000 but value at £10,000. You find a potential buyer who offers £7,500. There are no other buyers interested at the current time. What do you do? Waiting for another buyer to offer more is perfectly reasonable. Expecting the current sole bidder to increase their offer is madness. I rest my case.

  17. I apologize on behalf of Toronto FC fans… this is utterly embarrassing. Our GM is an amateur under pressure, and clearly he's in far over his head in this role. This is pathetic to witness; up the bid or move on! So petulant.

  18. If Sargent so badly wants to leave, he should buy out his contract and do one.
Apologise to everyone, score plenty of goals, make the world cup squad, European nations will boycott it and he will be in the best scenario where the MLS doesn't have any competition, no relegation and some fake play off nonsense.
The best in the Americas will turn up for their Net Zero(joke) flights and the other dirty polluters of the world whilst FIFA pats them on the back with The Great Orange One!
