And that Portugal kit is one of the worst, most boring kits I've ever seen on a Portugal team. Modern designers are trash.

well well well looks like futbol asada was more correct than deadballtv on this one jack kinda said the Azteca homefield and attitude advantage wouldn't make a big difference, but portugal looked physically drained in this game very slow, i get they didn't have their best players but still, just because you speak with utmost confidence doesn't make you correct.

I think we shouldn’t read into these subs all that much. Some of these guys wouldn’t have gotten called up if it weren’t for injuries. When you can sub out the entire team he may as well try to find other guys playing time so he can finalize those last roster spots.

Im portuguese, and the game went exactly as I predicted it to go. Mexico was reopening its iconic stadium and the players were hungry for the match. Portugal meanwhile started with no clear game style, as we all know that martinez simply doesnt have it in him to put a team playing good football. Mexico should have won because no team that has players like gonçalo guedes playing should win or even be considered contenders for the WC. Miserable game.
Only real complaint I have is the subs that we came in with. I understand we have a lot injured right now but we still could’ve done better with the subs. You take out Gutierrez even though he looked the best out of all the players at half. Taking out Obed was correct but not for Charly. I would’ve moved Brian to Obed’s spot and brought in Vega or Quiñones at Brian’s spot. Should’ve taken out Piojo for Vega or Quiñones too. Bringing in Charly and Sanchez ruined any fluidity the midfield had. Quiñones and Hormiga came in well. Definitely would love to see two strikers again. I think if Mora is there we create so much more chances at goal. I’d do the same starting lineup but put Guiterrez over Obed and Quiñones at the LW. Or once Mora is back start him over Obed and start Quiñones at RW. I like Obed but he’s not ready to start, he plays to nervous. I just hope we can play with that same level of intensity and focus when we play a South Africa and such not just against a big team. We need to find a way to incorporate Quiñones and Hormiga more because they came in and instantly created chances. I think Mora and Fidalgo are the starting midfield with either an Edson or Lira behind them. Something with 5 back and two strikers or even a 3-4-2-1 of

My reaction to this game if kinda suprised that it was tie I thought Mexico would have been spank on defensive good from montes and Vasquez and good ball playing from Rangel, also good midfield first half fidalgo doing is thing and surprise seeing Brian guiterez in lineup he play good. Now the cons gallardo playing as lwb didn't work at all terrible touch and kept passing back the ball no forward passes Bryan gonalez should have been called up he perfect lwb, terrible subs Charlie Erick, berthme are useless resign immediately, fourth pjojo is good defender but doesn't provide anything in final third so cut him, and mexico need more dynamic risk takers forwards

Jugar defensivo es menos vistoso pero efectivo , prefiero jugar a la defensiva y organizado que jugar al tu por tu con un rival que claramente es superior a ti linea por linea

Na bruh Portugal was playing half gas and still dominated 60 something percent of the possession.. we think we did better but all we did on the second half was park the bus.. we have such low expectations because of recent results that we take this as some victory but really all we did was not get scored on.. how is this an improvement when Portugal is getting criticized for not wiping the floor and we’re happy with just surviving.. theres levels to this game and we just suck..

It was a great game, people love to complain and its no secret Central American and South Americans love to hate. Mexico played a world class team. Im very happy against a world class team. We could have won !

I think the opponents names in the squad force you to play a very defensive game with that being said Bryan and fidalgo were amazing in the first half I think defensively very strong with. Couple of mistake ones looked a little shaky at the start but then settled in quite nicely. As a Chivas I can say that piojo is not the same with Chivas and national team I think the profile doesn’t fit he’s more of a 10 in my eyes with a very wide attacking winger (ledezma). I would like to see a right footed right winger on that side taking in consideration that vasco likes a 4-4-2 I would make that ledezma and centralize fidalgo or Bryan I think they’re better 10’s than piojo and play hormiga and Jimenez together but Mae nominees more of a post and give hormiga space to run in behind
