  1. As long as McGuire is catching a lot of passes I’m fine with anything. He an electric player who we got as a bargain in the 6th

  2. I like what Todd and mike are doing: creating competition and depth. Competition brings out the best in everyone, look at the additions at linebacker , wide receiver and especially rb. The depth at rb is especially interesting because Eli and bilal were on the roster last year and now we add Isaiah and Thomas Rawls.

  3. Hi Jetscentral. Normally I’d say I was surprised you even think Powell could be let go, knowing the Jets admin are a bunch of sharks, what you say could very well come to reality.
I took a look at Thomas Rawls as you said he a Powell were similar. They are similar but are completely different. Remember Rawls mentored under Marshawn Lynch and I see a lot of that in his running. The way he runs you know he’s done his film work in anticipating what the defense is going to do.
The way things happen with injuries the Jets would be wise to keep Powell around.

Here’s a couple of people who think Powell will be the feature not Crowell.
What does Isaiah Crowell add to the New York Jets offense?

  4. Looking for a manager to take over a team in my Dynasty League. The League is on yahoo and it's free. This is an experts level league, with rules and guidelines to follow, PPR, IDP advanced scoring matrix. If you are interested, please email me at buffalosackattack at gmail.

  5. jets central can we get a 3rd rounder for Powell or a conditional 3rd tied into yardage or a 4th this year also why do you think of Hewitt's game I know he was a good special team player from what I can gather but in college he seemed like a good rusher let me know Go Jets

  6. I’m a bit unsure about this move. I don’t think the Jets need him at all. I really hope this isn’t the end of Powell on the Jets.

  7. I like this move but I hope they don’t cut Powell , I think Crowell was a waste of money I’d like a backfield of Rawls , Powell and McGuire

  8. Once forte was done I figured jets might just end up with Barkley but now I doubt that will happen even if he is there at 3 but then we're stuck with no QB … AGAIN.

  9. rawls? I like powell needs to end his career as a jet not because of sentimentality but because he has been a solid player through some tough years. he is a very good football player.

  10. Nooo I love me some Bilal Powell!! Hey man I actually saw a mock draft where the Jets we’re taking Nick Chubb in the 3rd round. To be honest this signing has me scratching my head

  11. Wait rawles is like Powell i thought he was a between tackle kind of guy. Mcguire seems more like powell but in any case it does seem like Powell will be cut or traded IF rawles stays healthy

  12. I looked at highlights of Crowell. It looked like he was really good. So, I have to answer the question why would Cleveland let such a good back go. I found the answer. You're not going to like it.
Crowell saw his rushing yards (853) and rushing touchdowns (2) drop in 2017 from his numbers the previous year (952 and 7) despite having more rushing attempts. Even running behind a new and very much improved offensive line, Crowell could not perform up to his previous year’s standards.
Now, with his contract looming, the Browns should pass on re-signing Crowell for a number of reasons.
    ……………………….
What Johnson adds to the offense, Crowell normally takes away with his lack of vision and balance. Behind the Browns offensive line, Crowell should have easily been able to rush for 1,000 yards this past season/
But instead, it seemed as though he was constantly running into the backs of his blockers. There was really no patience in his running and, as it would turn out, Crowell had no patience in his contract talks, either.
Early in the season, Crowell made a comment to the media about how badly he wanted a new, bigger payday in the offseason. Rather than concentrating on the season at hand, “The Crow” just wanted the Browns to feed him with almighty dollar bills.
Partially, that attitude may be what killed Crowell’s season. He could have been so occupied with contract talks and paydays that he did not concentrate on the actual games. If that truly is what happened, it’s a real shame.
Crowell has shown some flashes, but it should not be enough to warrant the Browns re-signing him. If they are truly that desperate for another running back, there are plenty of options in this year’s draft class.

Have the Jets made a huge mistake?

  13. I'd hate to see Bilal go but another reason they'd let him go is bcuz he's entering his final year of his contract so they'll try and trade him due to that and because he's 30. Also like you said Rawls mimics his versatile playing style. Doesn't make sense to cut Eli cuz he's only entering his 2nd year and did good things, Crowell doesn't make sense bcuz we just signed him to a 3 yr/$12 mil deal and Rawls is a younger Bilal possibly. All that leads me to believe that Powell is the odd man out.

  14. Rawls is a very solid low risk high reward move. Im not even a Jets fan but I watch this channel religiously. Im a Rams fan but im pulling for Gang Green

  15. Signing RB Thomas Rawls, coming from a team where the QB was the teams leader in rushing, equals-
A possible Super Bowl appearance in about 13 years.

  16. If he was so good …why did he lose his job?….he drove Seahawk coaches crazy… …Agree with your point on McGuire…..Powell is a dog. . .

  17. “He’s a quarterback on our team,” Bowles said. “Everybody’s subject to competition and earning the job or not earning the job. Christian’s on our team. Regardless of who we bring in or how we bring him in, the competition has to be there for everybody.” Todd Bowles said this Tuesday about Christian Hackenberg.
    https://nypost.com/2018/03/27/todd-bowles-says-bare-minimum-about-christian-hackenberg/

Now I am not saying Bowles lies. This is the shark stuff I been telling you about. You know doggone well, Bowles don’t believe in the competition philosophy when we have known every year since he has been who the starting QB was at the beginning. NO competition is required.

It’s the same this year. Josh McCown is the starter and that is that. Teddy Bridgewater is not starting over McCown. The Jets get a QB no matter how good he is, or shows he is, he is not playing, and may not move up the depth chart.

I think McCown is going to have a better year than last year, he’ll be in much better shape. Now the competition will be who will back up if McCown is injured? I can’t answer that for two reasons. I don’t know if Bridgewater is game ready, and I don’t know what QB the Jets will bring from the draft, but from what I know, Bowles is high on Mayfield. With the 3rd pick, I don’t think its deception.

Other than that, erbody and their cousins have Josh Rosen coming to the Jets, or chose him to be the Jets QB. If the Jets don’t pull a Houdini and pick Mason Rudolph I'm positive Baker Mayfield is the guy. Mayfield is a half a world of difference than Petty or Hackenberg and would be the spark the Jets offense needs going forward.

  18. Just found this channel and I like it, keeps me updated on the Jets (my favorite team) and the trades they make with others. Thanks!

  19. Rawls is a between tackles power runner with average to below hands your nothing like powell lol

  20. Please Please Please Jets Front office…kEEEEEEEp Powell…he has been a true winner…he comes thru when no one on the team can. He's been part of the old guard under Rex when we were winning. He is just coming into his prime at 30….reward the man his due stay as a jet to retirement.

  21. I’ll be looking forward to see what the Jets do with the running back position this year. I do see the Jets cutting or trading Powell. Even though he did a good job last year, it would make financial sense. Also, they have a lot of good running backs on their roster even with Powell gone.
