Arriola was going to start , he played 90 mins vs Jamaica , 45 vs Panama… Greg plays a bunch of MLS players we struggle then he plays majority Euro and they win,. The game vs Panama was winnable but he played a line up that was sub par , Vs Panama he had De La Torre, Busio, Hoppe, Adams Richards, we had enough talent on the bench to start.. Watch Greg start about the same line up vs Mexico then go back to a heave MLS line up vs Jamaica to ruin our momentum…
I hope he realizes the young guys playing in Europe are his key to building a successful squad. Please realize that's why we won and continue playing these guys. Kudos for at least listening tonight.
Glad we got the win, but I hope you know how big of a joke the fan base thinks this guy is… He is a pathetic excuse for a coach that insists on playing his garbage favorite players rather than using lineups like this at every chance possible!!
I don’t know how they are calling Weah’s goal an own goal it went off the goal keepers rib cage off the post into goal. It did not bounce off the post then off the back of the goal keeper he couldn’t even get a hand to the absolutely blasted shot.
Imagine having greg in the WC when we play fucking France….. we will get cooked Berhalter tactics just isn’t good enough. I cant take another minute of watching Arriola and Lleget
The perfect line up, is balancing experienced players, with young talented ones. He has to realize when you play with european players, the team performs much better, they bring another pace to the match. Hope Usa gets to the WC with Spain. See you there, congrats for the victory.
Apparently GGG was joking a bit about the Busio comments (8:40). Busio's mom was on Twitter seeting the record straight, saying that it was GGG who approached them to talk and they never pressured or gave him grief for not playing Busio more. Seems like GGG was speaking a little tongue-in-cheek here in the interview, but still that is not a good look to make a joke about a player's parents giving the national team coach a hard time – especially given how player's parents have been involved pretty heavily in some Twitter drama as of late.

Will he learn from his mistakes or is he too cocky and stuck in his ways to change. Llegets performance in panama should disqualify him from this team permanently especially after Busios performance in his limited minutes. Same as Arriola after Timos performance. Its over for these guys. If he doesnt see that he is blind.
I'd like to think coach is playing a mix of starters against beatable opponents in order to feel them out and bring them along (instead of playing his favorites), but I don't know, man; I just don't know. That's probably why I'm not a coach, but why aren't the Euro-experienced players our fundamental staples in every game? Why not beat up on the winnable games and beef up the goal differential in case the tougher teams give us a rougher way to go?
Its a shame that we have Jay Berhalter's brother as a coach. We have so much more talent than we have ever had and all we hear is how hard it is, how young and inexperienced we are, how humidity/temperature affected us in Panama, etc. Everyone can see what the real problem is and what is limiting us as a consistent team and that's Jay's brother and his erratic/inconsistent decisions which in many cases are nonsensical. I dont think that everything that he does is bad and he deserves credit for some things (bringing in Pepi, Yunus, Dest, etc.). I also realize that there may be some factors that guide his decisions that the public may not be aware of so Ive always tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. However, I think that our team will always be limited unless something changes.
Greg this is the youngest team, but it is by far the MOST TALENTED team is qualifying history. And yes qualifying is not easy so don’t make it any harder than it needs to be with your dumb ass selections and lineup choices. Pick and play the best guys and get the hell out of the way. Ariola, Zardes, Acosta, Llegget should not be on this squad. They STINK!
