I think that when it comes to the future of the USMNT, I would rather see Yedlin go to Brazil so he can get the experience of being part of a World Cup squad. Granted, like any prospect: Green, Brooks, Yedlin, etc. there is no guarantee they will reach their full playing potential anyways.
However, having a couple of our younger players be part of a team with Donovan and Bradley is invaluable and I would really like to see the 3 players I mentioned above make the cut. USMNT always needs to be getting better.

Yedlin would be great for team USA and his speed would help him defend against the likes of Reus and Ronaldo who destroy even the best defenders in the world. So giving Yedlin experience against that quality will only make him better and this will help the US become better in the future and allow the US to advance further in future world cups.
