The upset that never should have been an upset. Williams was a decent boxer with amazing heart (he once won a fight with a dislocated shoulder by knockout) who was at or near his prime at the time of this fight. In contrast, although too many excuses are made regularly for Tyson, this really was a shadow of what he was. Too many people, even in 2003, bought the myth that Tyson was an immortal monster of a fighter.
For those in the know, even at the time, this wasn't the upset many casual fans thought it was. This was no Buster Douglas. This was a fighter well past his prime who shouldn't have been in the ring or at least considered an elite level fighter who got beaten up by a decent fighter.

Anyone making excuses for Mike look Danny Williams was not a great fighter he just obv trained hard for this fight, has a chin and was 265 throwing hard stuff lots of output with no fear . Tyson always had trouble with those guys. I mean look at Douglas in 1990!
Mike was passed his prime, he was a strong mf, but didn't have the strive to win like in 85 & 86 up to 1990
Tyson was completely disoriented.
