agree with your analysis on fredericks, best defensively… could be dangerous going forward but rarely gets forward and when he does he usually doesn't find that final ball, disagree that we don't really need a RB though… freds hamstrings will go at least once a season, zaba is gone and ngakia is young… really young, there is potential there but lets not get carried away, he needs a lot more experience before he can be relied on, his performances were good considering the context but still needs to improve a lot… imho we should be in for a rb, preferably a starter, i was hoping we could get foyth off spurs who wants out.. but that will never happen… he'll probably end up leaving for 10-15m too, bargain
Ngakia although a great prospect, I agree that he has jumped the gun a little due to the praise that he received for his (four) performances for us. That said, we don't know the full SP about how much he's on right now and what he's looking for. The LB position concerns me much more though and has been an issue for at least a couple years minimum. Both full-back positions I feel were a Massive factor that contributed to our crap season.
As you say yourself Kris , Fredericks is not up to the job in the premier league as a RB , we do have Ngakia ( who has impressed me ) and Johnson ( who really impressed and as we have seen can play LB ) , Zabaleta is off at the end of the season , so bringing in another RB would not be a problem , and this fella looks dam good . But we do have a need for a first choice LB as well ( have done for a few seasons now ) , Masuaku like Fredericks is not up to the job , and just feel Cresswell has lost something over the last few seasons .
West Ham don't usually get Transfer Targets they R Linked wiv, Daves will wanna do it on the Cheap wiv Fredericks,Johnson,Ngakia( Unlikely to get better offers elsewhere?)
Get him in, compete with Fredericks. Johnson and Ngakia can have a season on loan at Championship clubs similar to Diang. As long as we aren’t a Championship club ourselves!
Gonzalo Montiel looks a good fit for Moyes new remit for young, technical, hard working, high energy players. Him and Jarrod Bowen could make a great partnership on the right hand side.
Fredericks is technically & positionally poor. All he has is pace. Not enough at PL level. We have Ben Johnson & Jeremy Ngakia. Both deserve a chance. We have more of a problem at left back
Gonzalo Montiel could be an ideal signing, he fits the Moyes 2 step transfer qualification as young and hungry, he is also an international and plays a similar style to a young Zabaleta.👍from me.
Wasnt it a case that Ngakia was offered a deal a few months ago before he had hit the first team. Now he has, he probably feels he deserves something more in line with a player who is part of first team squad. However we definitey need a proper left back more than right back.
If the rumours are true and he wants more money, then keep him on the bench. The only thing a young fella of his age should be focusing on is being an inclusive squad/team member and should he succeed in doing so, the big money will take care of itself. Smacks of an agent getting in his ear
Do you think West Ham are going to have a transfer budget this summer? Ngakia needs to make sure he is not turning out for Leyton Orient in a couple of seasons rather than money.
Buy him, sell Fredricks and keep Johnson and Ngakia on the bench and to push through. Same on the LB, sell Cresswell or Masuaku and keep Johnson then buy another quality Left back
Imo we absolutely do need a new first choice RB. For me, none of Zabaleta, Fredricks, Ngakia or Johnson are good enough. The latter two may be with some more 1st team experience (I have my doubts though) but we absolutely need a good, solid, first choice right back option. Won’t pretend to know anything about this Gonzalo player but imo we definitely need 2 new first choice full backs.

I always worry about signing players from the southern hemisphere. Some players can't deal with the climate, and I think that was Roberto's problem.
Keep fredericks this season as third choice and we can play fredricks agains the sterlings and saint maximine type players

Really think we need a left back more, both too old and lack desire now but any improvements
