  1. One of my last memories of my great grandfather was when I was 5 when this was going on. He said he'd never seen anything like it and I'd likely never see anything like it in my life either. He was right.

  2. Wow what an absolute legend 👏 his interviews are nothing but pure soul and honesty as is his game on the links. The GOAT

  3. #2 AT&T A win with 7 back and 7 holes to play was just ridiculous. It just doesn’t happen with tour pros caliber. GOAT stuff

  4. Imo, prime tiger is THE best golfer to ever pick a club up. Everyone says that Jack played against better competition etc etc but they both played against the best the world had to offer. Prime tiger beats prime Jack. Simple.

  5. Unfortunately, the only mistake Tiger made was to do something his Father did not teach him to do and that was not to stay loyal to his wife back then. He was never able to overcome the Karmic effect of that misstep and it influenced his game adversely and still has some effect today. If he had not taken himself out of that integrated loop of golf and love life, I think he might have been at 18 already or more. His popularity got the better of him but he underestimated the aftermath. But, he is good at learning, he is good at getting up after falling down and he is good at accepting whatever comes at him and those are the qualities of a Champion.

  6. But still, the Tiger's best and most memorable Win was his 2019 Masters. The entire tournament was like it was played in and on another dimension and we were looking from the outside in.

  7. And to think what his career would have been like , if he would have had a career with out any of the injuries and surgeries, causing him to miss so many tournaments, I believe he would have in excess of 100 tour wins and 25-30 majors titles.

  8. I still can't believe that he changed his swing from 2000 that Butch Harmon helped him perfect. It's the best swing in the history of golf. It was technically perfect. Had he just left it alone he would have smashed Jack's record of 18 majors a long time ago.

  9. I'm not even going to talk about his stats. I'll just focus on the very simple truth that Tiger Woods brought unprecedented excitement to the game of an otherwise boring and elitist game. Never have I seen the kind of reaction before from the crowd and the TV viewers in sports bars and I'm sure in homes when he is competing against a deep bench of talented golfers, young and old. This reaction started when he won 3 consecutive Jr. Amateur, e consecutive Amateur and the start of his 1996 win in a playoff with another good golfer, and icing on the cake…winning his first major, The Masters, at 21 yrs old.

He has inspired so many young people.

  10. I think an even more telling state is Tiger Woods's adjusted scoring average. The thing about adjusted scoring average is that it takes the field you are playing against, the difficult conditions of the course, the weather, etc., all into account when judging a player's scoring average in that year.

Since they started keeping track, only five players have broken an adjusted scoring average of 69. Those names are: Greg Norman, Vijay Singh, Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy and of course, Tiger Woods. The only players two do it more than twice are Rory McIlroy (2012, 2014 and 2022). Tiger did it 12 times during years in which he played enough events to qualify for the state. (1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2012 and 2013). So if the 20 times it has been done by people who have done it more than once, 8 times have been ever other player combined, Tiger on the other hand did it the other 12 times all by himself.

Even scarier, is that between Tiger's "new" Butch Harmon swing, before all the other players got to watch TIger Dominate and then higher swing coaches of their own, start practicing 2-3x more houes daily, hire personal trainers to get in shape and personal shefs as well as sports psychologists…this was the difference between Tiger dominating in the beginning…and then when he switched his swing again with Hank Haney and eveyrone saying he was crazy and made a huge mistake…and how much he dominated between working on his new Hank Haney Swing between 2004-2009:

1998-2003: Tiger won 27% of his events, was in the top 2 36% of the time, in the top 3 44% of the time, in the top 5 59% of the time and in the top 10 70% of the time, under his Butch Harmon Swing…

Then, everyone had a chance to work hard to catch up using all the money they were getting thanks to all the money Tige brought into the sport as well as Tiger having to take time to get used to an entirely new swing and yet…

2004-2009: Tiger won 33% of his events, was in the top 2 41% of the time, was in the top 3 58% of the time, was in the top 5 62% of the time and in the top 10 75% of the time. Tiger was by more dominant between 2004-2009 than he was in 1998-2003 at the height of Tigermania.

  11. Let’s just stop for a second and ask how selves , how racist would the PGA be had it not been for tiger ?

  12. Comes from 7 back with 7 to play for his 6th win in a row. These were magical times. I am so glad I got to live this.

  13. It’s considered almost legendary to put up a great fight against Tiger. Just to challenge him. That’s legendary. Only reason we know who guys like Rocco Mediate are.

  14. Love the guy complaining about his skin color. MY GOD Get over it dude. The best golf I have seen in my 47 years and it was awesone. Hope to see it again some day.

  15. I remember sports books were offering Tiger or the field… and you felt REALLY NERVOUS about taking the field (everyone else in the tournament)….

  16. The greatest golfer to ever live. Gotta respect Jack for how much he was in the hunt in majors. Beyond major wins, Jack's runner ups and top 5 finishes in majors are the only arguable stats against Tiger being the GOAT. Tiger darn near has everything else. No one will never come close to Tiger's 2000-2001 run. If so, then gosh I want to see it lol.

  17. Tiger Woods in 2000 was P4P the greatest athlete of all time in any sport, he was so damn dominant his caddie Steve Williams, was the highest paid person involved in sport in all of New Zealand at one point. When he didn’t win it was a bigger surprise than when he did

  18. Nicklaus won 18 tiger 15 but the injurys woods had stopped him playing anywhere near his best when he had the operation to fuse his back that gave him a chance again 2018 1 shot from major 2019 plays amazing at master's wins a guy in his 40s with bad back legs u name it but the pure talent came through. Tiger woods of early 2000s was the best exhibition of golf we've ever seen until injurys he broke every record in the book 📖
