Morel is the first piece of the puzzle, he could become a cornerstone of the Cubs. His fielding skills are amazing and his batting is near the top as it stands. They also signed him to an extension already along with Ian Happ, I see that the Cubs are putting a lot into thee teams infrastructure for the future. Makes me wonder who else Jed has down on the farm that is another diamond in the rough. As we know the 2016 team has been flushed from the team, and Jed learned from the Master Theo Epstein on how to build from within the organization. I am looking forward to what the future holds for the Cubs I am hoping to see 1 more World Series Title before I leave this earth.
This kid can hit great power above average arm good speed where can he play is the question maybe 3 b if so that would fill a need the cubs have I could see him a 30 plus homer guy !!!
He's old for a rookie which is why he looks so much better out of the gate than most rookies. But that can be deceptive, because he may already be as developed as he's ever going to be and not have the huge potential a young kid might have. Same goes for Wisdom but to an even greater degree.
Morel is an exciting player to watch, and he's always smiling as he loves playing the game. He has the talent, but his defense needs a little work which will come as he plays more. If he can get his strikeout ratio down, he could be a real force to reckon with in the coming years.
It's impossible not to like him. He does whatever you ask him to do, and his enthusiasm is genuine and contagious. He hits for power, the average has stayed consistently high, and he has a cannon for an arm. And he's done it without ever seeming arrogant or entitled.
I hope he becomes the player we all think he can be.
What is amazing feat about Morel is that he is not your typical slugger who weighs 200 LB or more. He is 5'11" who weights 145 LB. He is exciting to watch. He does have one flaw in his repertoire. He is frequently striking out. His strikeout percentage to AB is over 33%. Hopefully, his strikeout percentage will be lower as he learns more about the strike zone. In one stretch he had 17 Ks in 25 AB. At the end of the season he will lead the Cubs in homers.
Morel's demeanor reminds me of Ernie Banks. Win or lose, starting or coming off the bench, Morel just shows pure joy at being in the Majors and at being a Cub.
My basic rule is that you haven't proved anything to me until you put at least three full seasons in at the major league level. But Morel shows more potential than any other young Cub prospect.
Morel is just fun to watch, he’s a great player , great attitude. Always aggressive and swings for the fence. This guy is already a stud and he better be on the all star roster

Don't get it twisted, its the cubs bull pen, not morel, nor is it the other batters at the plate.

Morel is just the shot in the arm the cubs need. PCA next year and the Mervis experiment is not yet over.
If Morel keeps up this level of play he could go down as one of the all time greats. Dude is walking RBI.

Can’t wait to see more of Morel this season, should be exciting, Go Cubs!
You can’t call a .330 average “three three zero”
Hoerner at bat?!😂
Why did you stitch in footage of Javy Baez and Wilson Contreras?
Cubbies are going to be goooooood.
Now bring up PCS and Cassie! Dump Mancini soon!
volume is rather low.
