  1. I really dont get this " D-F0 is lost without Curl" narrative, dude has his breakout game week 1 without Curl & looked like one of the best Safeties in the NFL the first 2 weeks before Kam came back. Top Graded Safety in the NFL week 1 with 5 tackles 2PDs 1FF & an INT & in week 2 he had 10 tackles , 8 Solo. Week 15 w/o Curl he had 4 tackles, 1PD & 1 INT, Week 16 w/o Kam was pretty mid, but week 17 against Dallas he had 7 tackles & a PD. He had a bit of down game against Cleveland w/o Kam but I thought D-Fo and Butler looked VS Dallas.

  2. I think Kendall Fuller might be the guy to put out there in the Red Zone too. Limited area for them to try and outrun him. The other team is going to be more likely to run the ball or toss out trick plays in the endzone, so having a CB out there that is 1) good against the run and 2) incredibly smart makes him a perfect fit for critical end zone plays. Not saying to put him out there every time they're in the red zone, but I wouldn't be surprised if he sees a solid number of plays down there.

  3. Man the way you explained this gave me goosebumps. I love the summer but for this, i can't wait until the fall and winter season now.

  4. I got to share this to my DC family. The streets are going to be empty when they play on Sundays. Between 10am to 12 noon it will be rush hour. 1pm a ghost town. That's how it was when they won those 3 SB's and 1 lost SB.

  5. It's not the players who are the problem, it's the coaching and the stupid soft schemes. Jack nor Ron are innovators, the 5 D Lineman is 50 years, Old George Allen used it in a 1972 playoff game against the Packers to stop their potent running game. It worked because he had 3 linebackers behind the front 5. They likely never used it again.

  6. David Mayonnaise isn't roster worthy ✂️, #47 is likely at best a decent ST player, #25 Saint Ben don't burn, is one the best all around corners in the league. The 2 rookies from Clemson and Louisiana 6'4 & 6'5 with good range & athleticism, should be LB's, Jamin Davis doesn't seem to have worked on his body getting stronger, which would likely make him a better tackler.

  7. Ultimately, u want your #1 corner to remain your #1 corner. Fuller not being in the starting lineup is crazy. The only guy getting turnovers and turning them into points and u wanna bench him?

  8. Remember when we thought the Nickel usage was forced by the lack of quality LBs at Ron's disposal? We didn't give him any credit for being forward-thinking, but now we've seen through his roster construction & formation usage not only has he boosted the Nickel usage, slightly ahead of at least 2/3 of the league but we've also seen him & Jack innovate with replacing the 4-3 in obvious run situations with 5-man fronts,
and a boost in Dime usage into above half the league.

I don't think 4-3 in any metric qualifies as our "BASE" , Your base would be the formation that you run the majority of plays from & make your substitutions from, in which case Nickel is our Base. We aren't sending 3 LBs out every series and subbing them out for 70% of plays lol a 3rd LB saw the field for 26% of the snaps IN 1 GAME, I think between 5 DL sets & the increase of Dime that's risen along side our Nickel usage the last 3 years our 4-3 usage is under 10%. I think our Dime formation could be A LOT more than just some Super prevent, I think if we used Forbes & BSJ outside at CB, along with Quan at Nickel & Kam at DIme with D-Fo and Percy split high wit Jamin as the sole LB we could still stop the run at a high enough level, while completely smothering the pass. It would be the supercharged next evolution of Ron's bend don't break style. He previously played zone took away deep passes and invited short passes that could be rallied to, forcing QBs to dink & dunk and be perfect or get stuck behind the sticks. This takes it a step further and challenges offenses to run against what should be a formation weak against the run, but we have 4 animals on our DL that are all worthy of double teams, so blockers arent leaking out to the next level and all our extra safeties can fly to the ball and stop runs for short, if any gains at all. Plus Ron & Jack preach on our DL playing the run on the way to the QB so we are already ready for it. I think in addition to the 5-man fronts, I think they could have a great Goaline package with a 5-2-4 formation made up of Chase, Payne, Ridgeway, Phil, & Allen, with Jamin at the Mike & Sweat at the Will to crash down to stop the run, OR Jam TEs off the line to keep them out of the play, with D-Fo & Percy using some of the Special Teams Gunner skill to blitz from out wide.

  9. This defense will continue to be good as long as Del Rio is in charge. However it won't be elite or take the next step until they bolster the LB corp.

  10. Cody Barton will be starting next to Davis once Preseason/Regular season. I think Hudson is primary backup, definitely would be best based on his size

  11. When Fuller was here the first time he was slot in a 3-4. When he returned it was a 4-3. Is there a difference in how slot corner is played in these defenses that can account for him being good in slot then not good in slot?

  12. Fuller will start over St. Juste when the OPs don’t have a big receiver/jump ball type.

Also a new type of LB is needed for the new 3 LB format:

You have your Middle and Strong side LB but now the 3rd is a True TE Cover LB, built more like a TE to cover the TE.
    The New Will LB.

If this happens strategy gets even better all across the board and balance in positions will be restored.

More respect for LBs on the Def End & more respect for RBs again due to needing All Targeted Positions to handle scoring when the time IS needed.
