I don’t think he’ll be an upgrade as far as shot stopping, but claiming more crosses and elite distribution will make up for that. I do think there’s a chance he is a flop though, the PL might really punish him for being so bold. Time will tell.

having onana play near half line is like having 11 outfield players… and he is a very good shot stopper… not excellent… but this is the perfect keeper for man utd. period.

He is good, his passes too, but for me i'm not confident, he is weak on crosses and never really catches the ball, 2 important things in england because all of his stop that rebound in the surface are dangerous.

He parries the ball far too much back into the box. Most goals against us you'll see will be tap ins as you can't do this in the Premier League. I like that he's good with his feet but the amount of pressure opposing teams put on goalkeepers in the Premier League I'm worried he'll get found out very soon and lose the ball. I hope I'm wrong with all of this but I don't see an upgrade from DDG here.
All these saves are save you should make, nothing out of the world to see here David makes saves way better than this. The problem with him he allows some silly ball to get in, make regular silly mistakes mixed with some amazing saves

The one thing onana will have to adapt to in the premier league is catching the ball as its alot faster than other leagues. Other than that hes pretty much a perfect goalkeeper. Im happy we’re signing him
