      in my opinion, Chelsea should be as opportunistic as Ronaldo is and sign him on a year long contract. what do i mean by this? Ronaldo wants to play CL hence the urge to move. Chelsea is without a lethal and consistent no 9. however, Chelsea did spend 100m+ signing Lukaku, and that turned out to be a flop. in addition to that flop, they've loaned him back to the same club that sold him to them for a dismal 10m. in a year's time, Chelsea will have this man back. Regardless of his form. so if i were the sporting director at Chelsea, i'd sign Ronaldo on a year contract and rotate him week-in-week-out with Werner/Haverts + guarantee him CL playtime. when Lukaku comes back, Ronaldo is out of a contract and maybe, just maybe, a secured major trophy (either Champions League or the Premier League).
