  1. All I observe is that VAR is always on City’s side. I’ve never seen them come out on the wrong side of a VAR decision. They benefit every single time whenever there is a wrong decision that goes for them. Arsenal and Liverpool already have it tough but the refs make it even harder with their biased decisions

  2. Score it was like: Ok maybe the ref missed part of the play so he made the wrong decision, it happens. Now it’s like: Does the referee even know the rules of the game he is officiating?

  3. It's Money City! what do you expect? Elliot scored something similar against Burnley and was ruled offside because Salah was "obstructing" the goalkeeper's view.

  4. These officials don’t play football and they do not have a clue on very basic things. For example, not being able to fully commit to a drive until the ball has passed the last attacker.

  5. Blaming "VAR" for bad decisions in football is like blaming the car for a drunk driver. VAR is a piece of technology. It has no bias, it makes no judgements. The errors are being made by the same people who were making all of the errors before that made fans, players and managers spend years screaming for VAR to be brought in in the first place.

The truth is that with or without VAR, refs have a fundamental lack of understanding about football. There are also far too many of them that like to see themselves on tv and like to put themselves at the centre of the story in games. In the 80s and 90s, if you asked the average football fan to give the names of 5 top flight referees, 99% of them would struggle. Nowadays they get talked about as much as the players, its an ego trip for them and they face no serious repercussions for heinous errors. If someone doesn't understand that Akanji is offside in this clip, they should never be allowed to be part of the decision making process in professional football ever again.

  6. I believe that FIFA intentionally creates rules that are subjective and ambiguous just in order to stir controversy. They learnt that the "hand of god" moment became so iconic and memorable that it outshone the whole tournament. FIFA count simply say that if any player is in an offside position you can't score a goal. But that would be too boring.

  7. This is THE worst example to use against VAR, and theres more than plenty horrendous decisions to discuss. Read up on the law.

  8. It’s because they had given ManU an offside goal against city with Bruno and Rashford, now they put themselves in a position where it’s tough to call it when it’s pro city

  9. How the hell do you call that offside, are you fucking mental? If akanji wasn't there the keeper would have saved the shot
If akanji hit the ball it would have been called offside
But since he found himself there the only thing he can do is jump over the ball
Remember not every player is smary

  10. VARS Fucked football. either fully automate it with a clear cut decision making choice or scrap it and stick with one ref like the old days.

It's like that saying of. "too many cooks spoils the broth." it's not working.

  11. Saudi owners are in the refs pockets, clear as day. They were already gifted one premier league title, but seems like its not enough.

  12. The rule that I learned is not just "interfering" but is off side position and "gains an advantage". "Gains an advantage" is questionable because you see the goalies reaction is in time and his visibility also does not look to be "interfered with".
