  1. Love it. This type of content/realness is so beneficial. Would love to hear more about your relationship w/ God in future podcasts. Best of luck to you and your family in this new opportunity!

  2. I love the brand but I think there is to be a huge disconnect with this company and diversity. No female presence in employment and just recently a diverse race presence. I don’t think Kat was replaced due to being a female. I just think that brand leadership is not conscious. Look at the history. Even the recent marketing booth at the ATX marathon. All male presence influencers pictured. I’m excited for the future but maybe not to see all the marketing of shirtless pictures of Nick Bare all over the website. Feels narcissistic much.

  3. Speculation out there that the deal fell apart due to a disagreement over the valuation of a the company. Sales were likely down qtr over qtr in 2023 and Nick may have been a little over his skis in trying to open an another BPN location in Nashville. That’s what this feels like from a business perspective, but Nick is trying to disguise it and repackage it as something entirely different. The same as he does with his gear usage. Nick is a fraud who sells low end designer supps to naive buyers. I said it.

  4. Blessing in disguise to avoid the sharp elbows of private equity and keep control of the quality of your business and its products

  5. Listen brother, once lawyers & investors get involved, the BS gets THICK. I say don’t scale, keep a small circle operation and have loyal customers. I’m not a business owner but I was in the Army for awhile and some a hole once said nothing is certain until the money changes hands. Love you brother I can see the genuineness in you. May the spirits bless you your family and your teammates

  6. I love these but they could be much more concise. My wife and I kept getting irritated when he would veer off topic and continue saying buzz words/phrases like get to the point Nick 😅

  7. Very interesting. That’s growth , making some decisions and admitting they weren’t 100% correct or the best. I’ve been a customer since I met Nick at Camp Kasey.
Glad everything is pivoting in the right direction.

  8. Good decision Nick. A wise friend once told me “stick with your gig” and be the absolute best you can be at it. Excited to see where you take your company.

  9. Thanks Nick for sharing this. More importantly thanks for being transparent and vulnerable. I can relate to your year-long experience.

I’ve been part of a company now for 13 years that’s gone through 1 liquidity event and now owned by private equity. Although I’m not CEO, I’m part of the leadership team, riding shotgun and experience the highs and lows of the process.

Glad you found clarity in the last year. Without clarity and direction it is hard to drive any company forward.

Your channel has helped me thru my triathlon training (hoping to tackle the full Ironman this year) which in turn has helped me get through the tough times at work.

I know you have a huge support system but if I can somehow return the favor let me know.

    Good luck!

  10. That my friend is called an Energy heist. These vampire corporations have legally put in place processes to drain us of our time and energy. Your current is worth more to them than the paper currency they give. You have a Guard your energy!

  11. Incredible podcast and journey. This is immensely helpful for all entrepreneurs out there. So grateful that you took the time to put this in a podcast. You certainly know this, but this is an incredibly difficult time for investments in general. So please don't take it as a signal of BPN potential, as I know you didn't. Hopefully, with markets having more liquidity soon, you can return to this plan if you wish. Endure the process and go one more.

  12. Probably the most candid and therefore relatable Nick I have seen. You could see and feel the anxiety at the start of the video. Perhaps someone who is yet to forgive himself for the decision he has made. As a managing director myself I can relate entirely and feel your pain but from the outside I’d like to say, the words you are saying are true, you never know if all the things that happened, happened for a reason! My gut is that your experience of “the process” will mean that when the time does eventually come you will make sure you get absolutely everything the company is worth.

Good on you for making the tough decisions and finding your energy again. People do not know what it takes to head up a company for 12 years!!!

Well done for showing us you are human even if still not your average Joe.

Ps that marathon result is even more impressive!

  14. Thanks for sharing. Great message for budding entrepreneurs. The journey is full of highs and lows and you have to embrace them all and remain passionate to the process. It's suppose to be hard….

  15. Hi Nick, do you find yourself struggling with short-term and long-term decision making? If so, how do you deal with it? It's something I've noticed in your videos

  16. Brother, you absolutely nailed the description of owning a business! The highs, the lows, the good decisions, the bad decisions and calculating each move to overcome. It feels good to hear this…. I’m not alone! Safe return back here to Texas for you, your family, your team 👊🏻

  17. This is an amazing podcast. Thank you so much for sharing this insight. And well done for being vulnerable and owning the story. Feeling like BPN and Nick are back to what feels right.
