The use of data analytics in scouting and squad development has become commonplace. Brentford are just better at it. And crucially, the owner is the data analytics guy, which means Brentford don't have to worry about their talent being hired away.

Brighton runs very similarly no? I do think this approach is (and will) become more prominent in Europe as the arms race (especially post pandemic) is just unsustainable.
