The Canadian Men's National Team is making history for the sport in Canada. This is the ONLY time that they will have the leverage to 'out' the incompetence and laziness of Canada Soccer. The Women's National Team are reigning Olympic Gold Medallists, and are the only top-10 national team without a domestic league. Their celebration tour was insulting, and the CSA couldn't even get their sh*t together to get swag on the shelves. An embarrassment. This was Herdman's plan the entire time when leaving the CANWNT, and he made that VERY clear when he left the women's program. The only way he could affect change in Canada Soccer was with success in the men's program. I bet the 'brotherhood' understood this for years, and what better time than now to boycott a game against a terrorist regime in the Iranian National Guard/Soccer Federation (the same) and a last minute match with Panama. The players had already expressed frustration and fatigue from an overloaded season. I think this is Win Win-Win-Win for Canada,…and heck….this only adds to their incredible story over the past 18 months. The victim's families of 85 Canadians at the hands of Iran, a story which wrongfully got swept aside during Covid, is now on everyone's minds, the Women's Team is hopefully going to get their rightful compensation….medallists in the last THREE Olympics (not the US, France, Germany, Sweden, Spain, or whoever,,…Canada!) …and the men are becoming folk heroes at home and globally. No worries here.
I'm 100% sure Nigerian FA is corrupt as hell and was siphoning off their wages. No better way to make corrupt officials straight than making a big scene out of it and getting news attention.
I feel like Frace has a little drama before or during every single World Cup😂😂 even if another nation is taking the headlines because of issues, you already know somethings going on in that France dressing room too hahaha. It’s amazing that they’ve won 2 cause they always seem to have something going on
