If Penney's position was untenable two games ago it surely must be all over now. The same decision making that brought this below average coach to the once unbeatable Crusaders brought washed up Halfpenny and an unrecognisably rubbish game plan to the club.
Can someone explain the Rob Penney decision to me. He did ok with Munster, had a shocker with the Waratahs and then gets the reins at the Crusaders. Now when he took all three jobs they were all teams undergoing transitions. And I know you shouldn't judge a coach too harshly on his first season when new processes etc are bedding in, while they have also lost some incredible players. I just wondered were there not better candidates or is there something I'm missing about him?

The Harry Wilson try was so funny. The reds spurned an obvious and easy three points, lost a lineout, got the ball back through luck, nearly bombed the next lineout, stuffed around for a few phases, turned the ball over through doing something dumb. It was textbook bad decision making. Then the Crusaders bombed the clearance and Reds score. A try essentially via misadventure and luck. It happens sometimes!

Plenty of new blood in this reds side. Thats winger is a sight. Hopefully wallabies coach can make something of this lot.
