He's my new favorite NBA player after seeing his interview with the Professor, but it is funny how there were a whole generation of players that grew up in the game with the 3-point line but didn't understand how deadly they could be if they practiced shooting three pointers. The math is pretty easy, the pinnacle of what you can achieve as a guard is Michael Jordan at around 50% shooting at 2 points is 1 per shot, whereas the pinnacle as a 3-point shooter: 40% of 3 point shots is 1.2 points per shot. Even Williams himself as a mostly shitty, occasionally half decent 3–point shooter was WAY better off taking a 3 in his career than a 2-point jumper, the math being .398 X 2 = .796 vs .327 X 3 = .981.

After the NBA recognized the ref as a cheater they should finally give the championship to the team that deserves it. Chris Webber was one of my childhood favorite players and because of the zero championships Jason Williams is one of the most underrated players of all time.

I remember a game in which he was one-on-one in the perimeter against Gary Payton, an outstanding defensive player. Some quick jukes and Jayson was on his way to an easy layup. Payton was left absolutely glued flatfooted to the floor!
