In terms of the main window in Summer, obviously depending how people do between now and then, but: 1. Rebuild the Right Wing Back position – even two in, an established quality RB and a prospect. Doherty and eventually Royal out though I hope Royal will improve. 2. Bring in the Centre/Left CB to make up the main 5 with Davies, Dier, Romero, and Sanchez (figure out what we are doing with Rodon and Tanganga) 3. Then just see what major upgrades in quality we could do up front or in midfield, probably in the offense. After the RB and CB signings which will happen, then the squad is there, so we should just be looking at 50-70 million signings here that would seriously shift the quality level. The squad will be in place, so there's nothing more to do but go big at that point. Approaching the striker issue as 'back up to Kane' hasn't helped us solve it. Bring in someone big to play with him, in his place, challenge him as he gets older.
I thought Bergwijn at wingback was a shout all along ha just because of his athleticism and ability to take instructions and work hard. Though I like how Conte is using him lately.

We seem to have no trouble getting rid of players but have a lot of trouble buying any! That's a neat trick D Levy pulls! He gets rid of the players that aren't popular first without much complaints then because it's the very end of the window when he buys 2 players.The fans are so relieved that we've bought someone we don't notice we got rid of more than we bought! By the time we realise we're weaker than before it's too late because it's the end of the transfer window! Even then he's pulled the wool over half of the fans that a lot of people are actually happy we've bought more than 1 player!COYS
Ndombele, Alli & Lo Celso are all luxury No.10s and need to be carried. Conte's system doesn't use a No. 10 so they had no place and couldn't play as a 6 or 8.
I'd expect a left sided centre back in the summer alongside a right sided wing back and a centre forward.
Ndombele cam only be defined as a waste of time. Lo Celso always seemed to be injured. Alli had numerous chances and Gil just didn't fit Contes formation.
Seriously I honestly hope (a word used very often lately in Spursland) we haven't missed the opportunity to take advantage of the best start to a season that we have had in living memory! COYS
I get the impression that Dele had personal issues that knocked him off track. I was sad he was sold, as I'd hoped a loan would rejuvenate him, to our future benefit.
My main concern over all the outgoings is that the pressure of the fixture congestion, plus covid and injuries, could leave us short on numbers for adequate rest and recycling.
I think we're going for Lamptey, but we need to prove to the player that he'd be better off at Spurs than Brighton (who have a good project going). With interest also in Bissouma, there's a lot riding on the 3 upcoming games between the sides.
I don't know if it's fair to talk about lack of planning – Spurs may have broached the Juve deals as fall-back options right at the start of the window and went back when better deals fell through or simply didn't materialise.
I think Spurs are looking at Bergwijn and Kulusevski as HK back-up, and we know Son can play there too, if he gets adequate support. Indeed there have been times when I have preferred a fast two-prong attack (Son + Lucas) to just HK up front.
I think there was only one big signing, and I'm surprised Spurs (or anybody else) allowed Juve to buy Vlahovic so cheaply, but I think we gained more than we lost there.
The Luiz Diaz transfer told me all I needed to know about Paratici. It’s all smoke with little fire in my opinion. Whether Alasdair is willing to say it or not, deep down he knows those two signings from Juventus were made by Paratici to save face and his reputation. Spurs are the only club that go looking for an attacking player "who can also play up front to give Kane a break". We never go looking for a striker. And if we do, they're either at the start or the end of their career. We need a striker that's in or approaching their prime. Or, start giving playing Scarlett more, or Parrott when he comes back, and commit to these players, give them a chance.
Hey Alistair ataully glad we didn't buy traurie monster of a man for speed and trickery but no help at all for our strikers and no finish at all I believe we will buy what we need in the summer I also think that we were just used in the traore business but I'm really glad that we got rid of the players that ovious diddent want to play for us and to two players were bought in are winners hopefully they can intise the others in the team to play better conti would not of wanted them other wise I also think the young player we sold to Blackburn will come back to buy us can't think of his name right now but over all I'm happy with the January window 7 out and two in ya would have loved another striker and a right back but no point buying players for the sake of it get the right players in the summer the dressing room will be happier now that knobelle is gone
N'Dombele has the talent but not the mentality, he is mentally weak and lacks self motivation as well as self discipline. Glad he's gone. Shame about Lo Celso, I thought he would do better than N'Dombele.

CB – Bastoni at Inter (big money CB target) RWB – Leo Dubois at Lyon or Zeki Celik at Lille CF – Jonathan David at Lille (ticks a lot of boxes)
CM – I still like Bissouma and by the summer he has 12 months of his contract left.
To replace Rodon who I can see leaving by the summer. No brainer for me… Connor Coady. Plays in a back 3, captain/leader, PL experience, English criteria and value not said to be high.
Add those 5 and we vastly improve important areas of first team and squad.

Finally!!! I am really glad Conte has put his comments about some of the players in the public domain, hope it now a wake call to the Spurs board and if they are going to scout foreign players they need to look beyond the fancy tricks and their fitness they need to look at their mentality to see if they can survive in the Premier League so so different from the foreign leagues a lot tougher, I commented previously that Spurs has wasted millions and now even Mr G has said just 2 players alone 110 million approx so stop spending million just for the sake of it and do the proper research before making offers
Paratici is a big disappointment. He can only get transfers from Serie A and that too those not wanted at their clubs. Free transfers or second tier players. Who says Levynomics is dead? COYS!

C'mon Al, GLC was a pile of crap. The only reason Ndombele got more stick was because of his cost. He went under the radar but he was dreadful.
