I think your views are very fair and accurate to be honest. I dont think Wilder would've beat Holyfield or Riddick Bowe either. Think Wilder overrates himself and has been found out against Fury and I don't think Furys anything special either. Can't wait for the boxing to resume so we can find out.
Go watch Tyson/Ribalta 1986, Ribalta was literally Deonaty Wilder in size, stature and boxing ability, only without the fight ending one punch power that wilder has, and that fight lasted 10 rounds, so although i favour mike to beat wilder, i don't think it would be as easy as many believe

I agree Witherspoon could probably would have beaten Wilder, I would include a few other 70s 80s 90s Heavyweights in that. In any of those decades Wilder would not have been World Champ.
Now that fight is probably the best fight in the world to make. Not because wilder is good. But just to shut him up for saying he'd smash a prime mike tyson. Id put my money on mike tyson doing him now. Wilder would never live it down or be able to show his face. Carrier over!

2nd he gets caught probably 2 times saved by bell
3rd he gets caught early and mutiple times and dropped
4th caught multiple times corner stops the match for deontay
and the styles make fights quote is flawed cause skills matter to not just the style not everybody who got the same style wins
