サッカーのハード メンは、当時サッカー選手で現在は俳優のヴィニー ジョーンズが司会を務めた、ビデオ ビジョンによる 1992 年のサッカー ビデオです。公開当時はかなり物議を醸したこのビデオは、過去 30 年間のイングランド サッカー界のハード メンに捧げられたものです。言い換えれば、技術的なスキルではなく、ハード タックルや、時にはまったく汚いプレー スタイルで有名になった選手たちです。ご存知のように、タックルに全力を尽くし、相手や自分自身を傷つけることを恐れない選手たちです。登場する選手には、ロン “チョッパー” ハリス、トミー スミス、ノーマン ハンター、スティーブ マクマホンなどがいます。ビデオの司会は、当時サッカー界のハード メンの 1 人だったヴィニー ジョーンズです。イングランド サッカー協会は、サッカーの醜い側面を暴露するこのビデオを快く思わず、ジョーンズはビデオ出演で 2 万ポンドの罰金を科されました。 プロサッカー選手協会（PFA）はビデオの禁止を求める仮差し止め命令を出そうとしたが、法的に実行不可能であるとの助言を受け、その試みを断念した。

Jack had a hellva lot of ability on the deck, than given credit for!..And he was a fantastic international Coach,who did wonders for the Irish team and the spirit of the country in general,he gave Them a type of injection of self confidence that was so badly needed!
