I disagree with him. It makes for a less enjoyable style of play, but a very efficient one. Look at Germany or Italy for examples, sure they had decent talent, but nothing like the brits, spaniards, south americans & they won for decades.

We are creating coaches that coach from a Manuel with no feel for things and teaching a Manuel kids are robots who are programmed to play a certain way no individualism allowed my boy was at a prem club he dribbled round every one and smashed it in top corner and his coach tor a strip off him and took the job away he left and does not enjoy playing at academy level he just liked to play his way we are making footballers who don’t understand the game they are physical specimens who been taught what to do or have it shouted from coach at side lines they like f1 drivers they can drive the car but no nothing about the car if it broke down they be stuck would gazza Paul merson Matt letissier make it today
Look at the euros, no free kick goal, individual skills that take your breath away, just athletes running and running. Then VAR steps in and ruins the celebrations, or a player's toenail is offside and the goal is disallowed. Football is boring now.
Martinez is absolutely right, the game is getting almost too structured and too much passing rather than dribbling, flair and beating a player, players are becoming robots and we are losing the entertainment from football, not fair for the fans

Football’s evolved. Players can be individuals but have to play in a team. If the player can’t play and do what a manager says then that’s the player’s fault.
A system approach over individual creativity might result in more trophies but for the most part it's also a bore to watch especially for the neutral. Watching the Euros and Copa America right now and there just doesn't seem to be any players emerging that lift you off your seat every time they touch the ball. Just a lot of sideways passing and back to the goalie. Zzzzzzz, As an England fan it's so frustrating to see Pickford have the ball at his feet more often than Harry Kane.
