Please we don’t need another lanky basketball player. Best football teams are short under 5.10 avg height. 6ft plus players such as Ronaldo and zlatan are an exception. Just think he's too similar to Pogba for our midfield, Pogba likes to drift into the box as shown in the second half against city and can also play the deeper playmaker when needed. I feel we need someone else who offers something different on the other side, someone who does what modric does for Madrid, what iniesta is for Barcelona, what Silva is for city. Is there anyone available who can fill that role for us?

Right now he is the best cm in the game .
From the sounds of it he sounds like a player who plays higher up the pitch and wins the balls in the air and holds ball up and puts pressure on and gets in the face of the opponents. I think his best position would be as an attacking midfielder or as a left attacking midfielder. We could play a midfield 3 of Matic pogba Fred with savic in a more advanced role in a more narrow forward position as part of a front three where he will free roam and allow the team to dominate the opponent.
But what formation would be able to use him in where we could use him in this position. Narrow 4231? 433 on the left as a left attacking midfielder? 343 again as the left attacking midfielder part of a front three? . It would be interesting to see how you would fit in pogba in his best position on the left side of a midfield 3 with also savic in a more advanced left sided midfield role but I'm sure we would really dominate on the left side of the field and the midfield with that.
However a top class overlapping left back would be needed to provide width and support and also one the can get up and dowj all day long and be really solid, so alex sandro is needed.
I think if we get savic, he likes to get forward and get into the box because he's a real threat going forward but also good at tracking back and being aggressive and putting tackles in but also very skilful and is a top class playmaker. Pogba is the same and loves to get forward so matic could get exposed that is why I'm glad we signed fred a really fast and tenacious midfielder who will give matic great support and allowing pogba and savic to roam, flourish and dominate the opposition.
