Kinda crazy how heated this rivalry has gotten considering that the two teams weren't in the same division until 2002.
I am a Hawks fan and the Niners are going to destroy the Seahawks tonight. It's been fun over the years, especially the 2002-2014 times but other than the 2019 games the teams have not been matched well. Still fun but next year will be a big return for the rivalry.

In my opinion, of all the rivalries in the NFL, of note:
The AFC had Pittsburgh – Baltimore.
The NFC had Seattle – San Francisco.
It was a lot of amazing football

Granted the rivalry didn't heat up till 2002, when the Seahawks were placed with the Whiners in the NFC West, making for two yearly regular season meetings between the teams. The Seahawks lead the series 30–18. The teams met once in the playoffs, a 23–17 Seahawks win in the 2013 NFC Championship Game. So basically Seattle OWNS the Whiners. PS: Even if you guys get past the 1st round or 2nd round of the playoffs you WILL lose sooner or later. Mainly because your team & fans are ALWAYS ignorant, overconfident & greatly in need of some humble pie that you'll never eat. #GoSeahawks #WhinersBlowGoats

Jim Harbough is a great HC . I never ever understood the hate towards him from the fans. Apparently the players got tired of his intensity but I mean it works. You get to be a millionaire, play a game and win .

2012 & 2013 were the best of this rivalry. Short lived but still exciting. Kaepernick looked like he was becoming an unbelievable weapon, and a generally humble and happy person. Once he became an activist, his skills quickly diminished. What a waste.

So competitive in the early 2010s, Hawks dominated the mid 2010s and then competitive again in the late 2010s but still one of the best rivalries in the last decade
