A few years ago (hell, maybe even last year) Jokic would have had Rob fouled out in 5 minutes if the went 1-on-1. Rob has grown so much in every facet of the game but especially as a defender, he is the third star.

Many Celtics fans wanted this guy moved within his first 2 years on the team. Same ones who want every young player moved before they show what they are really capable of.

People say Danny has wasted a lot of first round picks forgetting that only 3 of the first ten picks become great players on average each season. Normally there's only 1 or two All Stars from each draft and late first round picks are usually out of the L in less than 5 seasons. Rob was the 27 pick and Grant was 22. Both of them will have careers lasting over a decade. Rob will be DPOY and Grant will play a big role once Al retires. Danny also did get 2 All Stars and potential superstars with his high lottery pick in drafts filled with busts and he got Smart with the 6th in a terrible draft. Even though he could have had Giannis only us Euro's knew about him and he drafted Olynyk who is still a very good NBA player at #13. Overall he's done a great job hitting 100% of his 3 top 6 picks and about half of his first rounders. That is way better than Philly and other teams that has had a lot of high picks. Look at Sacramento. They blow most of their top 6.picks. They have hit on 2 of their lottery picks since Cousins fell to their 5th pick a decade ago. They have not been close to the playoffs and that's what most small and medium markets have to deal with.
