  2. Now that is cool, I would have never thought of starting the dubbing in the front and working it back
    Great looking fly Matt
    Thanks

  3. I have been tying something very much like this for years now as a 'hopper imitation for the spring creeks of The Driftless, where smaller is better and the absurdly complicated 'hopper patterns with knotted rubber legs work no better.

  4. Always enjoy the history of each fly. That extra work you put into each fly pattern you present does not go unnoticed. As always, Bravo Zulu.

  5. Good simple job as usual Matt!!!!! I'm visiting family here in Manhattan in the city and we went up to Califon, NJ on Friday and we tied up a number of these Sedge pattern flies and we caught a great number of smokies and we tied up Fontaine's Sparkle Pupa and it was a winner. We kept it simple and had a wonderful day. Love your channel. EMO from SB.

  6. Don't know if you see comments a year later, but I just found this one and really love the simplicity of the fly. Thanks for your splendid videos.
