Talent, depth & opponents' fatigue got us this victory not Gregg Berhalther, he still needs to be let go, he doesn't know what the hell he's doing, playing players out of position, his roster selection is still not the best especially with his favoritism. I understand USSF won't sack him, but I'm tired of giving Gregg the benefit of the doubt only because of a positive result, this result was completely misleading from Gregg's managing performance, he's utterly completely trash 🗑
I was blinded a bit by my anti-Greg bias, but a hot #9 makes a difference. Triple OG needs to keep things simple. We should have a set formation by now for all ConCAF opponents. I’m not going to give him credit for changing things at half time and Stop experimenting with Tyler aka Baby Kante!
First Half = U8 Ayso Second Half = The Pepi show! Pulisic also got space to run through the middle and set up the first goal. All the subs also kicked ass and then formation change back to KISS was what was needed. Also CBS Crew = Rock Stars!
Brooks also looked tired and uninterested. I think a lot of the is on his "WTF" with GGG's coaching and tactics. They did Spaz, but were also SLOWWWWWWWWWWWW. WTF was all of the play behind their OWN 30 yard line that was the slow play. But also when Pulisic got the ball, his decisions were so slow. Then in the 2nd half he got some space and was running forward, not back to cover the midfield.
Brooks should not be starting. I get that he has more experience than pretty much anyone else on the team, but he just doesn't mark his man in the box.
Man of the Match: Antonee Robinson. Period, full stop.
Forget he only played one half. It was an EPIC half. Made impact immediately. His equalizer gave life to us. He was impenetrable and locked down that left flank. His overlaps terrorized the Catrachos every time and was just a Boss this game.
I know we fouled a lot but I loved Acosta simply fucking up their midfield all night. He made it hard on them boys especially late in the game have to peel themselves off the pitch
I don't think the criticism of Pulisic is fair, in the NL final he rarely got the ball in a good spot if he ever got it and was criticized for not doing anything. If he gets the ball and no one overlaps or tries to combine with him then he has to take it on his own. Those two 8s need are the ones that supposed to pass him the ball into a good spot but Reyna is on the wing, Acosta and Lletget are never going to make a good pass or combine well with him. I think we need to see the same line-up and formation several times to get them to combine well instead of looking like a collection of great individuals.
I kept saying berhalter would keep experimenting and people said no he was done experimenting. He still does it with formations and lineups and playing players out of position. Berhalter the mad scientist strikes again.

The kid clearly is not all hype … looks like we have a real striker at last
Sargent is a club player he is not national US team player, how many games have people said didn’t have a good game ..

Our first goal was because Pulisic did the easy pass that led to the cross in
Greg the halftime 🐐

Do you guys think it was necessary to start Yedlin and Robinson on the bench?

Berhalter pulled a pep guardiola in his formation and tactics.
