  1. I recall Djokovic having the easiest draw of all time up to the final. Worked against him. Needed to face true challenges before playing Alcaraz. Instead he played bums up until the final and the result as Alcaraz destroying him

  2. as a long time fed fan, this feels abit cathartic

the pain of losing 2014 and 2015 wimbledone final to nole,

now nole losing to young blood as did fed, but the way nole is playing im 100% sure he still has one or two more grandslams in him

  3. I think this was a case of Djokovic not quite fit enough and just hoping for the best against Alcaraz. How many times have we seen Novak come into the net in the first few games in the opening set on grass? The last time I saw him do that was against Murray in 2013 when he was pretty much on the way out towards the end of the 2nd and 3rd sets with Murray outplaying him. It's a last resort tactic from him. However, he's doing it pretty much here throughout. As if he knows he can not hang around too long from the back.

Some of these shots look like he just left it as he didn't feel he could fully bend. I think Djokovic made Carlos look more than he was actually was. That saying – would it have changed the result. Probably not – would have been closer though.

  4. Hilarious to read all the doomsday comments after their Olympics match. This was not a 70% fit Djokovic and he still made the final and few weeks later accomplished immortality. Bye haters
