Podolski, Giroud and Cazorla aren't premier league proven and Allen is, so there's little risk, especially because Allen has already played for Rodgers and will fit right in to Liverpool's passing and attacking system. I've watched a lot of Allen and I honestly think he's well worth £15m. He never gives the ball away and he's a smooth passer with pace and he works really hard, but we'll only find out who's right after a few months into the premier league season.

Rodgers is only 39 (5 years older than Carragher) and only starting out, so you can't really say he's done nothing without giving him time. Swansea in my opinion played the most attractive football in England last season so I think in a couple of seasons and better (non KD's players) Liverpool will be playing football as good as any in England. I watched the Arsenal match they played well, but it was against a bottom German team so Podolski was right at home. Some of Chamakh's goals were in England tho and creative wise only 22 assists in 216 games in a really easy league is a terrible record for Giroud.
Swansea taught Arsenal a footballing lesson last time you's played and I liked the way Swansea pass it around dominating and controlling other teams. Arsenal and City score more goals that's true but for me it's the whole package.

Seems like Joe Allen plays good every game and so far for Liverpool he's been brilliant. I wouldn't been surprised if at the end of the season he got voted Liverpool player of the season but I have a feeling the exciting Sterling will win it..
If you're a Liverpool fan you're an absolute disgrace. Same thing was said about Lucas and he came good, Not too long ago same thing was said about Henderson and he's been playing outstanding. Joe Allen is only 22 years old and has plenty of time to grow as a player, and he had a great first half of the season but is out of form. He will only strive to improve with the added competition of Coutinho as well. You're supposed to support our players not slate them during rough patches.
