We need a manager to tell Tyler Adams to f off and get healthy before playing
Hoping for good health to Adams to see him back full throttle for club and country. Always a thoughtful guy. Tyler spoke of his parents blunt assessments made in love. In that vein: Gregg was an absolutely fantastic den mother, while being a rather mediocre field manager. As for the team, it's mindset… I'd respectfully submit that maybe it is time to ditch beginning every sentence with a built in excuse they seem to have unwittingly inherited from the former manager, the minimizing of expectations . "With this young team… with where we're we're at.. CONCACAF…" While the roster is still rather young, you can only milk that for so long… many of these guys are now in their prime with a large body of experience. We agree Tyler, a no b.s. manager would not be such a bad thing.
CHELSEA BLUZE BROTHUZ ROLLIN 👉
All of y'all are balling out overseas but it is time for y"all to put the United States on the world soccer map now.
I don’t want to hear this coming from the same players who wanted Gregg back after his first sacking
“We need a ruthless coach.” Get ready to sit on the pine buddy.
I didn’t wanna believe it at first, but after Copa it became clear we’ve coddled these players and put them on a pedestal before they even accomplished anything aside from the bare minimum as a national team squad. Also, Pulisic is the only player with silverware iirc in tourneys where he was actually a squad player that made an impact. That still doesn’t mean he should call the shots. I want to believe in this squad’s potential but it is still just that… potential.
USMNT needs a foreign coach, Spanish/Argentine coach preferably.
Tyler is giving too much credit to berhalter, berhalter never got us to punch above our weight and Tyler would have surely caught recognized and gotten similar caps under a better manager. Only thing that would be changed under a better manager the team would have been held accountable to their loses
I feel Tyler has a lot to prove. Not just with his injury issues, but the leadership in the team has been poor. Obviously Gregg was a huge issue and glad he is gone, but USSF now has even more pressure to find a good replacement. They should not have rehired him in 2022.
Tyler speaks and I listen! Great representative for US Soccer
Oh Captain MY CAPTAIN! 🤞 The new skipper gets more guys like Tyler & the goat Capt Deuce Dempsey. Players oozing with pride when they wear 🇺🇲 that you'd have to kill to get it off them
Not a fan of this dude. He was one of Berhalter's pets and among the "anointed ones" who had it very easy under the nepo hire. And now he's coming out and talking about needing someone ruthless. He'll be a great USSF executive post-career, that's for sure.
He loved Gregg and wanted a coach to be his best friend.
Tyler perfectly described Big Sam Allardyce. 😂
Wow, such a polarized response from fans. Lots of love too, but clearly US Soccer has grown and we’re almost there. Stay the course! It’s coming! 🇺🇸
TA: "I felt good enough to play a lot more, to be honest with you."
As much as I respect Tyler and everything he's given to our program, this comment baffles me. He clearly was not fit enough to play. He had nearly missed an entire season of football coming into the tournament due to reoccurring injuries he tried to rush back from. Forcing himself back into this lineup prematurely resulted in him needing back surgery and further damaging his career. I want to see him develop into the player we all think he can be, but it painful watching him shoot himself in the foot from the same mistake over and over again. Let your body heal, Captain.
The laughable golden generation! This Berhalter group is a bunch of cub scouts. Tim Ream was the only one to realize Berhalter’s coaching was a disaster and the team became a frat house click.
The Federation needs to remove all MLS influence. MLS must adopt relegation or it will never develop players. Sporting Director Matt Crocker should be fired for bringing back Bethalter after Qatar – Crocker is a bean counter.
The next coach must come from outside the US with proven success – in other words, the opposite of Berhalter!
With a top manager, Tyler Adams would be on the bench with his limited technical ability that he over compensates with needless agression, hence the accumulation of injuries.
So the team underperformed intentionally to get Gregg ousted.
We need ruthless players also 😂😂
Antonio Conte
I like Tyler, but he needs to get healthy and playing club regularly. There’s a lot of talent at he’s position. Johnny and Malony both might kick him out of the roster altogether
Get ready to put in the work buddy, it’s clear that the national team (particularly Gregg) coddle these players since they had to work to earn their spots in their European clubs & they loved it. It was their safe space away from their club in which they had to learn how to stress & work. Now the same will happen in the national team. Pochettino is an example of your typical European coach, I don’t think we’ve ever had a coach at Pochettino’s caliber, even Klinsmann wasn’t up there, but you can see the impact Klinsmann still made, it’s time to step it up a notch.
