After Ecuador’s decline since Chucho Benitez died it’s been tough for us but glad that these newbies and coach are stepping up to the plate currently. Feel cheated out of that Argentina game but Ecuador overall playing great football.

Argentina's next 5 matches are against Uruguay, Brazil, Chile and Colombia. If they get 7-9 points out of this, they'll be easily safe. Otherwise it'll be another difficult round of quakification. Ecuador have already rampaged through their toughest oponents and their only loss came against Argentina which is respectable. They look set for qualification as well. Uruguay look fine as well. Chile and Colombia might just end up fighting for thst 5th spot which gives them a slight chance.

I would like to raise the following issue to Alejandro Moreno and would love to hear his input CONMEBOL came up with this qualifying system so Latin American teams play many more games in qualifying to give the managers a better chance to get their selections better and have the teams in a better shape for the World Cup , well that did not work out well since the implementation of the system only Brazil 2002 have won the tournament and Argentina 2014 reached the final with the both and Uruguay making semi finals appearances, is it time to go back to the old group system ?
