Actually, Iran should have won 2-0, I am surprised Azmoun missed a one v won, early in the game. Qatar are lucky the score was not even more embarrassing. The Iranian Football Federation has 1/10th of the budget of the QFA. The QFA buys players from Europe, South America or Africa but Iran uses their guys. Despite all of these disadvantages ie better facilities in Qatar, resources, coaching in their club level, Iran is the better team. Qatar have everything except for one thing. I am German American and my Persian girlfriend taught me this word Gerayat, which means heart/tougness. Iran has it in spades and I am sorry to say it Qatar does not. When the striker is from Uruguay or the goalkeeper is from Sudan you can force him to sing Al-Salam Al-Amiri(Qatar national anthem) but how patriotic do you think he is going to be? Respect to our opponents but Qatar you need some work. The sad part is the Qatar team were together for a few months in a camp and this was the final result. Also, Iran's Portugues coach checkmated Qatar coach switching up the formation form a 4-2-3-1 to a defensive 4-1-4-1. Good luck to Team Melli. This is pretty much in the bag Iran is going to qualify unless they lose all three and Uzbek wins all of their games and Uzbek needs to come to Azadi. Iran already beat Uzbekistan in their home and the next game is Syria home. They can send the B team for the last game @ Korea and tank it.
