/sbbarnet …

In this week's exciting episode, you get to watch some vintage run n' shoot action! Easily one of the more obscure guys I've made a video of, the only reason I even knew about him was because he played against the Texas A&M team that Darren Lewis starred on.
As always, I hope that you enjoy the video! Feel free to tell me what you think of the video, what could be improved, and what players you'd like to see in the future.
if the name on the back of your jersey says a nickname, your a badass.
Chuck went to my high school. (La Habra Highlanders!) Took me under his wing during my freshman season.
I saw him play multiple times – he shreaded UT that night of the highlight film…I think UT ended up winning – but one of the most electric games and his performance was a world beater that night. He was a not so secret weapon. Just when you think you have Houston cornered for a loss – he'd burn us for 30 yards…great player.
What a beast!
1990, I was heavily recruited to play ball at U of H. Recruiter told me Chuck was leaving and they wanted me to start as freshman. I was his built, height but faster.
During my recruit day, at night a few of us went out and went to wrong area if town. I witnessed a stabbing….I Later changed my mind about Houston Cougars….I do regret…..18yrs old decission.
…Pardee was Head Coach, then J. Jenkins. I went to the Bowl game during recruiting. I ended up at Michigan State. But i still wonder if i would of stayed and committed to Houston. The had the Run & Shoot.
Growing up in La Habra and playing football myself and a few years after Weatherspoon, I heard of him many times but this is the first time watching him in action. He was impressive and all the stuff I heard about before, I saw him do in these videos. Too bad his name didn't reach the same fame in the NFL.
Basically if Barry Sanders never left the squat rack he would have been C SPOON.
'Chuck Weatherspoon – reminds me so much of Robert Newhouse, another UH great running back. Spoon was an incredible athlete and Life Time Coog !!
I love football but I never heard of Chuck Weather spoon at all and who or when did he get drafted and by what team and year .
Back in the day, I enjoyed seeing Chuck Weatherspoon play A LOT and missed him when he left U of Houston;
I felt like UH wasn't as elite after Weatherspoon was gone because he made the difference; After he left, they never had a RB like him for a long long time;
The run and shoot offense needed a RB like him to succeed and everywhere they tried to implement it without him, they were good but never became elite;
C-Spoon was so fun to watch. Glory days. Go Coogs!
What a weapon!!!
The good old days of my adolescence. Frickin guy averaged 9.6 yards per carry one year . Built like a fire hydrant.
One Of My All Time Favorites. I Watched Every Houston Game That I Possibly Could Growing Up In East Texas 👌🏿.
