Very interesting, I've never had a chance to shoot past about 300 yards. Is that range in the Raleigh area? There is some chance that I'll be moving to Raleigh for a while within the next year or so.

So what is your reasoning for having a 30-06 in the stated roll in the video…as opposed to something like a 6.5 Creed, 308 win, or a magnum of any flavor?

I'm a 30-06 guy, shooting an FN Herstal Mauser 98 in an Archangel stock with a Sig Sauer BDX 2.0 system that I've not used yet. I had 30+ concussions while serving in the military and now have an intractable migraine. So, I can't shoot as much as I want.

I took my 30-06 with a 4-16-44 diamondback tactical out to 500 yards hit 1 inch high from center and half an inch to the right from center on the first attempt, I was using 180 grain ppu jacketed soft points, I feel I wouldn’t have any problems out to 1000 yards with those loads, and the fps are very consistent with those rounds too so I’d try that in your rifle and use a ballistic calculator for your calculations i just entered all my data and it got me within a half a inch at 500 yards that’s very very good I knew I’d be he high because my calculator said 8.21 MOA. For ⬆️⬇️ adjustments I diled for 8.25 and was 1 inch high so definitely worth getting a balistics calculator and double check all your data you entered
