I think most teams will have a very bumpy start to the season. At this moment with only a week of proper training before the season starts only Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham look to have really upgraded their squads. Several mid and bottom table clubs actually look like they have lost more than they have gained. It is definitely possible to win the Brighton game and it could be good to play Liverpool early in the season as well. After those games we will be close to full strength.

Edouard Mendy is the only goalkeeper good for Chelsea at this point in time. Their first and second offers wasn't enough to convince the Nannes Management to sell as I also said from the beginning.

Great content as always mate, my worry for going for Onana, is he has same issues as Kepa his hight for one plus he has mistakes in him as well. Mendy is tall and very commanding in the box, that is what we need in a goalkeeper. So he comes in as a backup.

It makes no sense to me to pay £30M for an average goalie like Mendy when we can get Onana for the same price who in my opinion is a far better goalie than him. Kepa has never made any outstanding saves since he's been here so is he worth keeping just for competition purposes? Most pundits have said that Chelsea will not compete with Liverpool and Man City for the League title if that do not have a quality goalkeeper. So, why are we thinking of getting an average goalie to compete with another average goalie, in order to get out of it a quality goalkeeper. Makes no sense to me. BTW Aston Villa has put in a £10M bid for Arsenal's Martinez, who has made it clear he wants out of Arsenal if he will not be given the No. 1 shirt. From what I saw in the cup games, he has really impressed me. Surely, he's worth a look-in rather than Mendy. He speaks English and he is PL proven.
