The way Hewitt imitated Jake, it almost felt like I was listening to the Phelper.
I think that era of Thrasher will be remembered for a long time. I really enjoyed reading issues of road trips with Jake and hearing skateboarding stories/legends from him. They were going well out of their way to find some remote spots that were hardly touched, if ever. Jake was a skate historian and I miss hearing those stories already.
One of the greatest covers, I still can feel the awesomeness of seeing it for the first time…great article too, the one that means that skateboard is not just a crush, but a lifetime engagement.
