The HUD can be a tough bait to get figured out,, you have to fish it one of two ways, either on the bottom painfully slow if you think you are fishing it slow enough then slow down even more ., and the second way is to fish it similar to a Spinnerbait a few inches below the surface and over cover ,, the rof 5 are my preferred ones because you can add as much weight as you want the rof 12 seem to get stuck on everything and even the muck on the bottom

I catch pretty similar quality fish on a Jig and a Swimbait. If you want the best of both worlds, I love throwing a 4.8 kietech on an underspin. Every time I have broken my PB it was on that exact set up, but I catch more fish that way

tellin you dude grind it out with the big baits and get that fish of a lifetime. you wont remember another day of catchin small bass, you wont forget the day you stick a giant on that hudd or the big glide. these days you arent doin an event or practice toss nothing but a big bait all day even if its just once a month and see what happens.
