Try using a crankbaits rod when throwing spooks. With the crankbaits rod you can still throw braid.

I’m not trying to be rude bro but you are probably straightening out the hooks cause your setting the hook on a treble hooks. The fish does the hook setting for you man, you don’t need to lay into them that hard.
