      I think height will be an issue – given modern game (esp EPL) will test him in more ways than someone like Cannavaro got tested. But I don't think it will be material. He makes up for it in so many ways. His passing abilities have got me very excited, because we will need more passers of the ball in games when your Burnleys sit back against us – the type of game we've struggled in when opposition marks Bruno out of the game. Long story short – more ballers, the better.

      It would be interesting to see where does Lisandro rank across Europe as Sven Botman (also a proponent of Haag-Ball) , Koulibaly, Ake, Kimpembe,Lenglet are some of the center-backs signed this summer. On top of that, you have Van Dijk Konaté Matip Laporte Thiago Silva Stones Ruben Diaz and Christian Romero in the league .

      What is he? A defensive midfielder, a left-sided midfielder, a center-back, or a full-back? Not big or fast enough for my taste as a centreback or fullback in the premiership, so he looks like a defensive midfielder.

      i think he is the perfect cb for united, when you can pair him up with varane, who is better in the air due to his heigt and frenkie de jong iong in that 6 spot its way better then maguire and varane because of the mindset of maguire, what a lot of people dont see is that martinez really has that killer/winner mindset wich i think is good for united

      Jesus some of our fans are mushrooms, we didn't by him as a cdm, we didn't buy him to play the cdm role, he will not be playing cdm at any point in his united career, he's a CENTER BACK and that's exactly what he's going to be a cb, that's what we're buying him for and he will be starting as one of our main cb, simple

      Great video. How funny is it that all the English media are crying that his guy has dropped Harry Maguire and that he is 'too short'.

      He is doing really well and has actually improved the defence at Utd.

      OK, Fair play. After a full season of watching Martinez in the Prem, everything you said in this video came to be true (apart from your concerns over his aerial ability). I think your concerns were justified but his positional sense is so good, it negated the issue this season – which you weren't to know until it was seen. It is evident that a very impressive amount of research has gone into these videos. Cheers lad.

      Coming to the end of the season I can say that Martinez's 1st season in fhe PL has been successful. He is one of the main reasons why De gea won the golden glove

      Great vid and after 1 year I think Martinez' game matured a bit. Would like to see him step into midfield a bit more (similar to Stones) in his second season at Utd
