Correct me if I'm wrong… but VVD, Alisson, Shaqiri & Keita were all to an extent, bought with the money made from the sale of Coutinho. Where as City's net spend on players is far greater & the reason why UEFA are looking into fair play regulations. On Harry Wilson… at least he's going to a Premier League side & not playing Championship football. Not to denigrate the Championship too much, but there is an argument that the football is inferior. 👍

John Henry has said there's money available this summer for strengthening our squad, so looks like it's a case of Jurgen feeling he already has at the club the players and youth needed to go one better in the league and win title and to challenge again in UCL ? But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little concerned at the depth to our attack in terms of cover for Mane, Mo and Bobby.

I think we're short of a forward now Wilson has gone on loan. Baffling for me, being honest. I'm balanced but honestly feel we don't have enough now.
My Dad was a City fan all his life (from 1959 – his first match). They've had high points – notably winning the 1st division the same season United got relegated, but mostly it was all about good craic and being the real Manc team (United have fans are from Salford and Stockport and their ground's in Trafford, not Manchester). Having things like the best musicians supporting them, the funniest players, some legends like Bert Trautmann, Mike Summerbee, Uwe Rosler and Franny Lee, being a scrappy team with disasters and a few good runs was what it was all about. And good drinking in Moss Side.
He stopped supporting them when Sinawatra the Thai dictator took over, and now moans about them constantly. there's something a bit dead about them, and that connection to their history and sardonic, self deprecating humour that comes being able to know t#you're a 'real team' is kind of gone.
He was actually rooting for Liverpool to win the league last season, he is totally sickened by City now. I reckon half those 30k fans are new fans, which is why it's so dead at that new home ground (btw Maine Road had a proper atmosphere, really good ground and crowd).

Werner & Eriksen in final yr of contracts look great value, LFC are in strong position with them 2 to take advantage of a great opportunity. Eriksen in particular creating more chances than any other player in Prem since 2016 thats consistency + never loses ball hes very strong guarding ball. Sepp,Harvey and Adrian are class but the squad deserve a surprise.
What worries me is that if Klopp has asked for certain players and been snubbed by FSG and the season ends without a trophy, where will his head be? Even the likes of Mo and Sadio could get itchy feet. I believe we've missed a real opportunity by not bringing in 1 or 2 players.

So Ings & Solanke 20M each, Wilson & Kent Loan/sale ??, Sturridge released. 5 attackers outgoing with Origi & Brewster left to cover attack. This isn't owners decision its Klopp & his team who apart from the centre half issue that was sorted following Jan' with VVD have given us no reason to doubt their calls. This great squad deserve great players to train & play with, were is this 20M attacker to come in you cant stop learning during a lifetime or building on what you have already unless you want to go backwards or standstill, letting rivals catch-up.

we lost the title as we were unfortunate to lose 3 of our 4 centre halves and our starting right back (and back up right back) within a 1 month period.
This season we now have Hoover and Sepp Van den berg as deeper cover for those positions.
With the midfield we have 7 players for 3 positions.. last season we had 4.5 (as keita was out for half a season as too Fabinho).
Up top we have the best trio in world football on the bench we have Origi, Shaquiri and Brewster. Brewster is a massive improvement on sturridge and could be a surprise package this season..
we also have Elliot and glatzel and jones who Klopp has stated will be training with the first team.. Elliot could be a dark horse this season..
Chelsea haven’t signed anyone and have lost hazard.
Spurs, Utd and arsenal have spent money, however in my opinion are not better than us and city..
For me not a single Utd player could get in our first 11 or be an option for the squad
Arsenal I would say Aubemiyang (spelling) has a chance, but who do you drop.
Spurs .. son and Erickson are Klopp type players and would be in.. Kane is a player I don’t like and would cock up Klopps system..
Also Its been mooted that for the world club championship we may be sending the U23s allowing for the senior squad to get much needed rest..
