hes not my favourite person but you have to give him credit for just getting up, not like the tumbleweeds you get these days rolling around cos someone flicked their ear….
McMahon was a coward who ended Broadhursts career but ran like hell from Noel Blake who butted the dirty veeela coward. I hope he is having a rubbish retirement in pain and suffering
Embarrassing. Going down someone's leg with no intention of playing the ball, or the opponent not even expecting it. People on here lauding it. Its actually unreal and ain't football. Any man off the street could perform such a moronic assault.
Liverpool’s No 1 Supporter, and I tell it how it Is 👍🏼 Steve McMahon was and still is is a mate of mine. He will be the first person to tell you that Vinnie Jones was an absolute beast when it came to throwing in wayward tackles, he kept everyone looking over their shoulders, he was a nightmare to play against when he was in the mood. His commitment to winning was second to none. Sometimes I wished he’d have played for Liverpool in some games. As a player he was very average, but he got better as he got older, in fact he’s probably playing better in L.A. now, down the Park with his mates than he ever did for Wimbledon or Leeds Utd 🤣🤣. But whatever you thought of him, there’s no denying that he had the drive and commitment and Passion that we wish All of our team players had, and I’d have a Beer with him any time 👍🏼 YNWA.
Time stood still for a second as they both pretended to go for the ball but it was secretly a battle of who could get their foot higher than the other and break his leg, good times

Back in the days when ref allowed payback, plus dividend wherever applied.

That Liverpool team was something else man!
I remember that they didn't lose any games in a calendar year one time. Think it was about '87 or '88 period! And then went on to win the TITLE!
Should've won the double, but Wimbledon shocked them.
Back in the day when your told to not let the opposition know your hurt, men
Good tackle. Nothing to see here.
Hardly payback. 🤫
Could you imagine Messi or Ronaldo taking that…
Only difference was that Stevie could play as well.
Sweet thing about that is the ref puts the hands up to signal play on,god miss them days of football

In the 'Soccer's Hard men' video that he narrated Jones said that he'd be coming back for McMahon over that tackle….
