the big question isn't the players –its does US Soccer have the balls to get rid of Greg B before the World Cup Qualifiers? This guy is not the coach for this quality of players.. Its obvious and no one wants to say it
can we also not overhype mls players, we have some very good players adams, mckennie, and pulisic and dont get me wrong some of the other mls players are good but we cant expect them to win every game

Thank you Matt!!! Turner is a sign to young athletes… if some of our best athletes chose soccer instead of football or hoops, the game would never be the same. Imagine Anthony Davis growing up playing goal. Steph Curry or Pat Mahomes, or, name the ultra-quick wideout as a winger. What if Zeke Elliott is our center back… (maybe we’d joking the rest of the world and call the game, “football” 😉).
This may be the Bronze Age which means it can only get better from here!

The US has a very good future…but let's not get overboard with the predictions to win a WC, as if the other 20 or 30 top teams in the world are not developing players and evolving also, just remember, a good number of those top NTs are years ahead of the US when it comes to youth academies (read: No pay-to-play), and also, beating ConcaCrap teams is not a reason to start a "We have arrived" chant.

My theory is the MLS will lockout the players and cancel the season, so they loaned out all the USMNT players they could in anticipation.
This is a precarious moment for the growth of American soccer. I am afraid that the potential MLS lock out would compromise this great period of development in American soccer. I hope that the MLS owners choose to see the long view and bite the bullet of short term lost for 2021. A Strong showing by American soccer in the 2021 Olympics would prove beneficial for the MLS. While a strong performance in the 2022 World Cup would prove to be golden for the MLS.

Swansea fan here – we now have both Arriola and Morris on loan. The latter came on briefly the other night and did really well. High hopes for both.
For me, the golden age of American was in the 00s.
Those were magical years, USMNT had a great team led by Landon Donovan and many other great players.
